With the recent trouble of the heat and their eagerness to cut salary cap room, trade rumors with the cats are floating the air of speculation...
Heat Gets: Okafor and Felton
Charlotte Gets: J-wil, Haslem & Blount

great character guys and solid performers for old, suspect not that great guys? I don't think so....
I know OK50 is a free agent and Felton (I think) has a year left but white chocolate and Blount suck balls. I'd rather take my chances in the draft. Ugh.

I'm not keen on this trade as constituted. Run the numbers:
J-Will 9.1 pts and 5.1 assts
Haslem 12.8 pts and 9.3 reb
Blount 5.7 pts and 2.7 assts
Raymond 13.8 pts and 7.1 assts
Okafor 12.8 pts and 10.3 assts
The numbers balance out but it takes 3 people to make the output of 2. I do not think it makes us any better. Also, our guys are finally starting to gel together and make some noise. Cannot bring in 3 new and send 2 out at this stage in the game. We are only 3 games out of 8th spot.
IF we show signs of fading in the next 30 days and realize that the team is not going to be in Playoff contention, then if Miami was so desperate as to give us their 1st rounder also, I'd consider it. But, not for just the players. Doesn't make good fiscal sense and it really doesn't make us better.

That trade would probably cause Riley to reconsider retirement.

Hell no. The only one of any value is Haslem and the others wouldn't start for the Miami Hurricanes.
I'd rather take a nail and hammer it through my dick.

That is a horrible trade! Haslem is the only one worth anything in that deal: J-Will is a SUPER streaky shooter and if you were frustrated with Okafor disappearing during some games, wait til you get a load of Blount! UGH. No no no

Ouch! Dude. damn.
(hell no on the trade)
How about this:
Pistons are looking to open up a roster spot for CWebb. To do this, they want to unload Flip Murray. I had hoped that he would somehow be a part of the Nazr deal, but either way I for one would much rather see Flip playing in Jeff's minutes than Jeff. If they're just trying to open up a spot, then what would you be willing to part with to get him? I say Jeff (and then they just give him the axe). According to the trade machine, this works if Detroit uses their Delfino exception. Best part is, Flip only has 1 yr on his contract and he played college ball here in NC (you know how Bob Johnson likes that marketability!) at Shaw in Raleigh.
Thoughts?

I'd be ok with getting Flip that way. I liked him a lot as a role player when he played with Lebron.

If we could somehow get flip for jeff... then hell yeah id do it.

The pistons don't really use Flip and they're looking to unload him for cap space. They'd much rather eat Jeff's salary than Flips. I think they'd go for it.

Thing is would coach V go for it? McInnis seems to be tight with V...maybe too tight.... :g:

Good point. Do you think Higgins would do it with or without Vincent's approval.
Actually, no, this is ridiculous. How could anybody not take Flip over Jeff? I mean, I'd feel pretty bad sending the guy to a buyout. It's not his fault that he's being used improperly. But, this is a business and the smart move would be to part with him.

no way. i'd rather have felton than j-will even tho he is solid. haslem is solid, but he's more of a guy that scores off of his teammates not because of what he actually does. but i definitely wouldn't even consider that one

Unless we're slap-out of the playoff picture by the trade deadline, there is absolutely no reason to consider ANY trade(s) at this point. We're playing the best ball EVER, our chemistry is RED HOT. Why not just sit back and watch our guy's chase a playoff berth, and forget trades? :-\
