Thanks for starting the game thread Matt.
We let Joakim Noah of all people go off on us the last time we played. We absolutely positively cannot let madness like that occur again.
With Luol Deng out, I do foresee a Bobcats win tonight.

smith is expected to play.
gordon is game time decision.
mri revealed mild sprain. i would expect him to miss tonight.
I pulled that off the Chicago RealGM game thread. Looks like Gordon might not go as well.
8:30 game too, kind of an unusual time.

Totally agree, no more dismantling at the end of the game. The Bulls games all should have been wins so far. Loul Deng really stuck it to us at the end of the first game between us. If we can shut down Noah and his big mouth, we can pull it out.
Off topic, but we dont want Noah and Thomas on our team in my opinion (from the other thread) lets prove why we dont need them.
My first game thread so its a bit rough, I'll get the hang of it

Not bad Matt. You got the important things right (read: GW picture).
If Noah scores on us the way he did before, then he better be the ONLY one scoring ANY points. In addition, if that happens and we lose, then I'm gonna start throwing things.
Hopefully GW is feeling more like himself, and if not, that Vincent has the smarts to give him at least 1 minute of rest.
Go Bobcats!

We SHOULD come out focused after the last two losses and get a W tonight I sure as hell don't want to see the Cats get sweeped in the season series with the Bulls.
PS - Noah needs to get that poster treatment from Crash or JRich.

We have to win this game! They're hurting and below .500! Plus if we lose this game, than Chicago sweaps us 4-0 this season.

He's getting older.
Late but damn that block on Noah from Okafor was sick.

Boy, this is an ugly game from both sides. My goodness, they are without Gordan (20 pts/game) and Deng (18 pts/game), we ought to be whipping them far worse. Right now, with under 2 min to go, we are only up 3 pts. We are scoring in 2 qtrs what we should in 1 qtr. Way too many TO's.
Okafor is on. We need to feed him the rock, he needs to notice double teams, JRich needs to do better than 1 for 5 and this could be a win. If we were just playing a little above average we would be crushing them.
A Decent finish to the 2nd quarter. Ooh, a JRich three! Go Cats!

Good run in the last 2 minutes. Stretched it from 3 to 11. 45 pts in 1st half is OK. It was looking like it was going to be around 36.

Right...which is 8:30 our time.
Mek came out all fired up! Starts out with a nasty dunk, posturized Noah and just seriously dominating on both sides.
Maybe that hit by Noc on JSwish fired him up...he showed really nice form on that last 3.
selphalosha (sp?) scores on matt every time down. please radio, you have a match up problem he has just scored on you in 3 straight possessions and just got matt to foul him on the 4th straight possession. you had your 12 point lead go to 5. How much is too much!
YOU HAVE A MATCHUP PROBLEM!
Oh Great, Matt just stepped out of bounds. That Bulls player has 5 to 6 inches on him I bet. Jeez down to 3 points.

Agreed, we've ran a pretty whacked lineup thru most of the 3rd...let them back in it.
Felton must have aggravated the ankle earlier...he limped to the FT line that time.
Felts and Dudley tonight are like an alternating trainwreck/good move. You curse them, then you cheer them.
Not a good 3rd. I feel lucky to be up by 7.
did anyone see wallace get mouthy with the ref after he got kneed in the "midsection" (thanks steve martin). coaches and players were trying to keep him from the tech. I think he might have gotten kneed in the junk.
It's been said a thousand times before but I just have to say it again . . . "we never, ever, ever get the refs to call us as equals"
bulls making a comeback . . . come on boys, let's at least get this 1. beat a team while they are down.

Great win! They should have won with Gordon and Deng out, and we played well enough to get the win! Now, just 1.5 games out of the 8th Playoff spot.

I'll reiterate that Ohara - Great win. They beat a team that they needed to beat, due to injuries.
Mainly, I just wanted a chance to say that Nocioni plays like a punk and if I was in a pickup game with someone who played like him, there would be fisticuffs.

Good call Brett. What's Noc's deal?
Anyways, great win. Just finished watching the recording of it, and I gotta say I was a little nervous the whole time I was watching it. However, we did not turn back into that team that absolutely collapses and hands over 10pt leads in the last quarter, and we beat a team on the road that we should beat. It really feels like we're a different team. And it seems like Mek might be joining the "gel-fest" that has already taken place for JRich and GW. The past three games he's had 21pts, 19pts, 21pts with 10reb, 10reb, 16reb respectively.
Notes:
Emeka shot some jumpers AND made them.
Matt Carroll was hangin' 'round the basket and got a tip-in.
Jeff McInnis moment of the game:
Jeff lobs/passes the ball to Nazr in the middle of three white jerseys. Somehow Nazr is able to tip it right back to Jeff who is now wide open because his man was really guarding Nazr. Being wide open, Jeff gets the notion to shoot the ball and does. He hits NOTHING. Well, maybe he hit the hands of some Bull who happened to be standing in the right spot at the right time somewhere in the vacinity (too be generous) of the basket, but other than that... Best part is there was 9 seconds left on the shot clock so he probably could have found someone else to take the shot. Steve Martin was nice about it, but honest by saying simply, "McInnis with the shot in the lane, and... not close."

Yeah tonight was a good win, JRich needs to get back on track but everybody else did great. Where this new version of Mek come from? Like you said Muttley "Gel-Fest". I went over a friends house tonight and watched the game on HDTV 52" LCD, that was awesome. Yeah the network needs to change the font or something on the TV screen scoreboard because on a 52" screen I couldnt tell what the score was.... :g:

Emeka Okafor scored 21 points and had 16 rebounds and Gerald Wallace added 21 points to help the Charlotte Bobcats beat the injury-depleted Chicago Bulls 90-77 on Friday night.
Ok they got a couple guys injured so what, dont we have a empty bench? dont we have May, Morrison and Anderson on the injured list? Davidson is in the D League now.... Hummmm seems to me we are a little depleted also....... :g:
