We're 1.5 games out of the playoffs. If we can handle Iguodala and Dalembert tonight AT HOME then we should easily get a win.

Unfortunately theres no TV for tonight's game. :banghead:

I'm thinking they will also. Or at least they better!

channelsurfing looks like it has a link for the game. Hopefully it works better than yesterdays game, where they only showed the last quarter and before that it was a college girls game. ::)

Thank you Miami Heat! They knocked off Pacers today. That means if we win tonight vs Sixers, we are within .5 of a game of the 8th spot!

They're missing Felton badly. That was a lot of careless turnovers and sloppy passes.

Ok - one complaint about channelsurfing.net - having to hear the other team's announcers - "The Sixers have been dominating since half time!"...jeez.

I think as long as McInnis keeps starting we are going to play the way we do, win one night lose the next. Its pitiful...... :g:

Melanie

.....and of course we can't hit a free throw!

ziggy

In almost 30 minutes, Jeff has managed to muster only 4 points and 2 assists.

Kevin Burleson could give us those crappy numbers.

these refs are a damn joke... carroll just got hammered

I'm sorry. I cannot watch anymore games. This makes me throw up last night's dinner!!! We have a chance do show we are contenders, playing at home, against a team we should run out of the gym.... and we blow chunks!!

I am done wasting my time watchng and hoping. Ray or no Ray, this was our chance to prove we belong, and we failed miserably. I'm too damn old to root for someone who cannot even wipe his own ass. Next time I watch a game this season will be when we are in the 8th playoff spot. So, I likely will watch next season. I challenge the men who wear the uniform to prove me wrong. You do not believe in yourselves, so do not ask me to believe in you!!

Waste my time will you, you silly overpaid SOB's!! Bite my hairy ass!! Don't try to get me to believe in you, and when I finally do, tell me you lied to me. Bastards!

Come on O'Hara its the second game of a back-to-back. How can you expect so much? LOL I spose the boyz were a little too fatigued to play past the first quarter? Maybe they needed Capel warm sponge bath timeouts and Mokeski aroma therapy to relax the tightness.

Didn't see the game after the 1st, but it looks from the box that Jeff and Matt kind of killed us out there.

Also we won 3 quarters out of 4, getting clobbered as soon as the 2nd half got started.

Naaaaaaaaaaa....that can't be coaching.........

ohara831
01-26-2008, 10:46 PM
Oh, I will still pull for them every game. I just wont watch them until they get into the 8th spot. I will not invest my heart into them any further than already done until they can do the same. I saw panic and fear in this team. I could read their actions as this:
"Oh my God, we are closing in on a Playoff spot! Dear me, the pressure, the pressure! Let me throw up a 30 footer and miss everything. let me miss a layup, throw the ball away! Anything except play well enough to win! I cannot handle the pressure of being a winner!!!!"

That is what I saw from this team in the second half. It was putrid and vile and made me throw up last night's Sweet and Sour Chicken, with fried rice and 2 eggrolls. Damn, that dinner was good and I was still savoring it; and now it's gone!!

Please MJ, get me some players I can believe in! Give me something to believe in!!! Please!!!

OOohh boy. No Felton + Struggling Matt + Fatigued GW + terrible officiating (absolutely HORRIFIC) + Jeff McInnis starting= Loss every time. With this equation we have no shot at winning. It was the JRich show (aided by the JRich action figure!!!) with Mek and Nazr as great co-stars, but nobody else. GW had a solid first half, but just faded after that. Kudos to him for working through it, but we may need to sideline him for a game or two, so we can get that electricity back.

Vincent continues to amaze me with how badly he sets the gameplan. We dominate early with Mek and Nazr inside, with JRich getting things done from the outside and fastbreaking, and GW facilitating the offense. Then, it's like we forgot about Mek.....and then he does something to his ankle, and then the downward spiral was in full-force; I told my cousin I had a bad bad feeling about this game, what with the mounting, nagging injuries, and the fact we hadn't put them down by 20 or so points, and I was tragically proven right.

I got there too late for the GW conference, but I still got in through the VIP entrance early while the other schmoes were waiting to be let in at 5:30. Gotta love perks!!

Got to meet Michael Thompson. He's as cool a guy as he comes off here on the boards. He's one of the good ones, and hopefully we can build a good relationship with him here at bobcatsplanet so as to take advantage of further future perks

Highlight of the night: At the end of the 3rd qtr, the Ladycats went individually to the top of just about every isle on the 1st level. Me and my cousin were at the back of 107, so were getting great eyefulls of the 106, 107, and 108 girls. All of a sudden, one of them comes running right behind us, and a bowl of Jello never had so many moves :wow1: It was all we could do not to smack some fanny as she went by, but social decorum won out, and we were left getting our chins' off the floor  Now if only we could get the Ladys to be moving around for 48 minutes, and the players provide the halftime and timeout entertainment, we'd be cooking!!!!

Overall, excellent turnout, unfortunately the performance gave the 17K+ no reason to believe this team is playoff-ready this year, but the greatness that is the Arena Experience hopefully won over some newbies tonight. Hell, if the Ladycats thing didn't do anything for them, they're either dead, gay, or a hetero-female :P

**************

I can understand your revulsion, ohara, and if the losses are bothering you that bad, you really do need to take a break. This was a very miserable loss, I agree. But, we've always known that an injury, an injury to one of our core four would be our downfall, and without Raymond, we are no better, I assure you, than anybody in the league, Philly obviously included. Just judging from the ebb and flow of the game, with Raymond out there, we win by 10-14 points, no doubt. There was no guard on our team that could hang with Miller, and while Raymond isn't a defensive wiz, he would have slowed him up enough.

I still declare that our players are playing up to their capabilities and gelling well with one another, it's just that when any part is taken out of the whole, especially our real PG, we are going to be behind the eightball each night. So, our players are growing, but our coach...... :g:.......I just don't know what kind of grasp he has on the game.

I think Felton just doesn't want to play the Sixers. We've played them twice this year and both times Felton missed the game with an injury. Two losses.

One small thing to note is Crash's Assist to turnover ratio of 5:1. That's pretty impressive if I do say so myself.

That was awful, I have never left a game disgusted before. I was having a good time too, went to the presser, went to Bellacinos($3 beer and cheap pizza, way better than inside the arena), had a few more beers at the game, we were rocking and rolling, place was full, JRich threw down a nasty dunk, nasty nasty. Then, Radio sends ol' McMinus out there, benches JD, benches Ryan. Gerald wasnt getting it done, but damn it Radio sticks to his guns. Then the refs start giving it to us. I couldn't believe the guy in the section beside us that calls everyone a pin-head wasn't having a heart attack, maybe cause his wife was there and not his son, whatever. It was awful, then I get in the car and Radio is doing his, ugh umm well we miss having another point guard, ugh no passion, then he throws out the Jeff 4 on 5 comment, whoa! I just can't believe all this is unfolding right now.

Okay, here goes...

The GW press conference was cool. He didn't stay long, but he did have a game to play. He's launching his new "Gerald Wallace Foundation," which will help "underserved" (I originally read it as "undeserved"... very different meetings) children in both his hometown in Alabama and in Charlotte by helping community centers to give the children a place to hang that's not the streets. Also, Michael Thompson did seem like a cool guy, which is great news for the franchise.

The game... hmm... what do I say? How about "great quarter guys," because that's all that it really seemed they played. We may have won three out of 4 quarters, but it just looked sloppy outside of the 1st. After the way we dominated the 1st quarter, I think we thought we could cruise to the win. Well, guess what... We couldn't! The thing is, I'm not even sure that JRich, Mek, Nazr and even GW played bad games. They played well, and should have won the game. I can't put it all on McInnis, but DAMN IT ALL, get him off the court! If Felton can't suit up, then just play DA and let Matt back him up. I'd also like to complain about the refs, but I'm not going to say any more than that because it really lances my ass when fans put the entire loss on the "bad calls." (Except for the Detroit game...) Let's leave it at saying that after the 1st quarter we played as though we deserved the win and it was just going to come to us. 360 dunks are sweet. SOOOOooo sweet, but if the team doesn't win, then who really gives a flyin' F? I was irate. We should not have lost this game.

I think I made the ride back to Raleigh after the game miserable for my girlfriend. I blame the crap that was on the RADIO!

Keetch
01-27-2008, 09:48 PM
"great quarter guys" ROFL!

Muttley (me again) hey I still like the 360 dunks. I mean if you're gonna lose; at least do it with a beer, a nice girlfriend, maybe a hot dog and definitely a 360 dunk.

Advice from an elder statesman (me again)....the girlfriend is MUCH more important than the game....

Muttley
01-28-2008, 08:46 AM
Thanks man. I get that (both those things), don't worry. The dunk was awesome. I just wish it wasn't followed by seemingly lackadaisical play. Actually, even that would be okay, but it would have been preferable at the end of the game.

While I was in a foul mood directly following the game, I don't think I made it THAT awful for the girlfriend. In my post I was just trying to find a clever way to blame Sam Vincent.
