Ah the magic that wins championships and kills talent loaded rosters... I have one word, CHEMISTRY. Now a few things that I have noticed on the Bobcats floor about chemistry. Lets start with the coach:
He screams his head off non stop and no one listens
His post game conferences usually blast the players for some aspect of their life, recently, not enough sleep, not enough preparation, not enough desire, not enough energy, not enough skill to make shots
He seems to be obsessed with Jeff McInnis until last night when he said Jeff was suckin it up and it was like we were playing 4 on 5 (HELLO... THIS IS WHAT WE HAVE BEEN SAYING). Naturally though, he doesnt dicuss it with McInnis is private, he announces it to the entire world via post game press conference. What a Joke.
Jason Richardson and Gerald Wallace, our two main threats and great players, go and deny what he says every night, thats sure to be good for chemistry
To reiterate, this guy has no idea how to talk to the media, none he his hurting his team everytime he steps to the mic
Emeka clearly hates him, Mek sits on the bench and pouts, when he plays he tries but I have actually never seen Vincent and Mek talk when he got subbed out or anything, S Vincent knows how to manage players well too!
So we can see Vincent is a great boost to our Chemistry, which really does define teams and their success, how about the players:
Jason Richardson and Gerald Wallace seem to gel pretty well together, infact everyone looks pretty good together, they laugh before games, then joke around, Mek though seems to have this unliftable burden on him from what I've seen, and I really wish he would be happier, if that means going to another team, he should
Players go down with injuries every once and a while, and it sucks, generally Joe Sharp goes out there and checks them out makes sure theyre alright and brings them back to the bench. Never before I have I seen the Bobcats bench empty out so quickly as when Jeff went down vs. Chicago, everyone was around him. He clearly is glue to this team, just not starting glue
so it looks like to me, the team has pretty good relationships amongst its players, I dont know if you guys remember what Nazr said, but when he left the Pistons he said, "I've never been on a team with so much comraderie, where you like every guy 1-15," that IS part of the reason why the pistons are so good. It could be a reason why the bobcats are good, but instead it seems to be our achillies heel, not between the players, but between the coach and the players.
Vincent may have said he is passionate about winning, but as a coach, he has no idea how to do so. Its troubling to watch the coach clash with the players, THROUGH THE MEDIA. How can you be so stupid, does he not have the balls to confront his team? Seriously, if he thinks he motivates his team by yelling, he needs to look around, every coach yells, some know how to motivate, others dont, he needs to learn a lot, or he needs to go.
