Damon Stoudemire. Good PG just released by Memphis. After watching the game last night vs. Philly with Raymond out I relized first of all that we played with a quicker pace without felton but I also noticed that DA cannot be our 3rd PG if we want to make the Playoffs.
We should really consider signing Damon.

I think that would be a big step up from McInnis or Anderson..... :g:

funny thing, I actually traded for him in NBA 2k8, he is an explosive pguard who can score a lot when he gets hot.

Stoudamire will probably select a contender, Boston, Phoenix etc.. After losing CJ Watson to GSW(he'll be signed for the rest of season), we have not so many logical options for PG.

Trade for Sheed.

Get Brian Grant out of retirement.

Change the name to Charlotte Jailblazers.

Let's do it!!

Damon wouldn't be a bad pick up, but I don't know if he wants to play for us. I'm also curious if he isn't on the decline. I haven't seen him play much in the last two seasons, but I know he could occassionally put up some big numbers.

Will most likely go to Boston or a contender ala Chris Webber.

The Cats need to consider signing: all these young ladies as the new lady Bobcats (http://www.sportsbybrooks.com/g/f50.html)

If that can't happen, then I'd settle for a quality backup PG like Stoudamire or Boykins.

It'll make a lot of sense, but it isn't gonna happen. He'll latch onto a contender like the Celtics, who don't really have a backup PG

Well we will never know if he would come here if we dont try to sign him!

MJ: WAKE UP!!

Unfortunately Damon Stoudamire isn't an MJ guy....

We'll end up signing Randy Brown or Ron Harper

Randy Livingston from the NBDL. Yes, he's been out of the league a while, but he is a major offensive upgrade over Jeff, and there's no such thing as a defensive downgrade from Jeff, so, let's go for it!

Stoudemire would be better, probably, but why would he come here during the obvious twilight of his career?

Appears Stoudamire wants to go to Boston, Phoenix or Toronto. He definitely wants to go to a contender and Boston seems the most logical choice given that Rondo is their only real point, and they lack any depth.

I think the Bobcats should hire The Professor..... ok just kidding.

On a serious note, I'd take almost anybody over The Jeff.

I just cant for the life of me understand why we havent done something with our last roster spot.

Pick up a D-leauge PG if you have to. We are clearly lacking PG depth and the only thing anyone has considered is starting Jeff MCInnis.... what the hell.

What about trying to pry away someone like Jarrett Jack or Steve Blake from Portland?

The downside to that is that the team is playing VERY well, so they're probably reluctant to give anyone up.

Hopefully management is doing their due diligance to fill up the roster with useful players, even if they are from the D-League

Portland will need to get rid of someone by next season, though, if they plan on having Oden and any draft picks on the roster. We could maybe get Jack for money and a second rounder or something. I don't know what they would want, really.

Earlier this month when some of you on here were talking about a Gasol trade I mentioned getting Damon in the trade. Now that he's a FA I definitely think we should pick him up.

Portland has Blake signed, Jack and Rodriguez. Give me any of those guys for cash and 2nd rounders and I'd be happy.

I think Rodriguez has the most potential though.

As for the NBDL, I don't know much about many of the guys. Just give me somebody with some slight scoring, and a high assist/turnover rate.

Good call on Rodriguez...he can definitely amount to something special, here's his write-up from nbadraft.net:

Just a word of note, Guillermo Diaz just had a 10 day contract expire so he's available...I'd consider signing him...

And even bigger....could we get Brevin Knight back....BOOOOOo

Stoudamire isn't going to the Celts (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3221245). He is still looking at contenders, specifically Phoenix and San Antonio. However, I think that they are pretty much set in the PG spot. I could see him going to the Lakers, but otherwise, I think we have a legit chance at signing him, and we should at least try to sign him. He knows that we're better than Memphis, since we beat them a few games ago, and he probably knows that we have a pretty good chance at making the playoffs, something the Grizzlies weren't going to do.

Looks like Stoudamire is going to the Spurs.

Not a bad choice to go to a dynasty...

we should sign Ruben Boumtje-Boumtje

...speaking of people with cool names, what's up with Pops Mensah-Bonsu? As a Niner fan, he used to give me fits with that GW team. He showed some promise and I'm assuming he was let go by the Mavs.
