Morrison haters are everywhere! I dont care what they say, he is a beast.....maybe 20 ppg next season.
Also we would be in the 6-7-8 spot in the playoff standings right now if Morrison was playing.....

As for the vid, I cannot figure out how to get video clips in it.

how many nights did he go 20 points and then the next night go out and shoot something like 1-12... a lot. He has Okafors problem, inconsistency, except that comes along with his zero defense. Also dude is like a twig, when I met him it was like touching wire. And seriously, he tore his ACL getting crossed by Luke Walton? yikes. Undoubtedly though he had his moments, when he is in the zone, oh he is in the zone. As for 20ppg, that would mean the bobcats would have 3 20 ppg scorers. Weve never even had 1. I doubt it. He could be good, but I am losing hope, and seriously, he is grimmy as hell and smokes...

Sure Adam had troubles in his rookie season but in the preseason before he got hurt he was coming on and he was doing quite well, but then he went down, hard to say what he could have done this season but I garantee it would have been better than last year. Yes he smokes so I bet its not as bad a habit as the media made it out to be and not something he does all the time he chews mostly and thats his business. My concern would be more on the smoking end because that can effect your performance for the bad. He is a little skinny and should bulk up a bit to better handle opponents. Im neutral on AMMO but I do like him, he will be a very good player in the NBA someday as long as he dont turn into May and stay hurt..... :g:

Adam Morrison is definitely not Superman. He was one of the best players of his year in college, but it's been all downhill since the NCAA tournament crying episode. Like MattD said, he's on and off, and too frequently off. He was Jordan's first major decision and I think definitely the wrong choice, seeing that we could've had Brandon Roy, Rudy Gay, or anyone else from the draft class except for Bargnani and Aldridge. Not to criticize MJ (since all of his decisions since then have been great), but Adam Morrison was not a good pick.

That said, I still liked the video.

Good points guys....BUT, he needed more time to adjust to the NBA than many thought he would. I mean, I dont think he thought that he would get that much media attention, fans/haters, and etc. Plus his body was not strong enough for the wear and tear of the NBA. But you cannot hate on this guy. he is one of the Bobcats hardest workers during the offseason. He got tougher. He did everything he needed to do to improve. You all must remember he is just kid. He plays video games, goes to Rage againest the machine concerts and all that.
I know that he wont be the next Larry Bird but I definatley know he was a bad pick. He will get healthy and back playing soon. Morrison is also a big draw at the arena. When I go to games I see alot of his jerseys/tshirts/etc around. People like him because he is different and plays with incredible intensity.
I think that another reason he did not live up to his expectations in his Rookie season was because of Bernie Bickerstaff. I dont think they got along. Morrison's offense (and the little defense he can play) comes from playing with intensity and emotion. Bernie did not let him do that. He also never gave him the minutes he deserved. I watched every single game last season and I cant even remember how many times Bernie sat Morrison down even if he did everything he was supposed to. They also expected too much from Morrison. He was expected to hit all of his shots and put up 20 points a game and play like he did in college.
Sorry about being so defensive of Morrison but I gotta stick up for this guy. I am sorry if I have given you all the wrong idea about me.....I am usually pretty quiet around here.... :)

One more point I want to make is about the streaky play. I play organized basketball for two teams and I have modeled my game like Morrison's. I make runners, 3's, mid range jumpers, hard layups and turnarounds and on and on. I am one of the top players on both of my teams. We have played 6 game thus far on one of my teams.
This is my scoring for those games:

G1: 16 points W
G2: 14 points W
G3: 8 points L
G4: 9 points L
G5: 8 points L
G6: 36 points W

In games 3-4-5 I played limited minutes. In the first two game I played all but one quarter and in the last game I played all but the first minute in the 4th quarter. What I am getting at here is that Morrison played pretty much the whole game at Gonzaga. Here in Charlotte he does not. He averaged like 11.8 ppg last leason. Which was still the second best of all NBA rooks. I knew and so did you all that he was not going to get to play the minutes he did in college. The style of ball that Morrison plays makes him a streaky player. The more minutes you get the more points you score and the better plays you can make. If you remember back at the end of last season when the Cats played Minnesota and Morrison scored like 26 or 28 pts in the second half to bring us back at the end of the game. That game was a HUGE example of what i am talking about. He was able to get into the game and stay in the game and he scored. He led our team. I am not saying that he should start here (out of respect for Gerald and J-Rich) but if he played like 30-40 mins a game he would score 15-20 a game. He also makes players around him better because he can pass and he knows the game of basketball.
Alright sorry for maybe being a jerk or whatever but I am just speaking my mind....
Wow I have to go because my fingers are about to fall off...LOL....

GO CATS GO!!!!

I see your point about him not being a bad player, but, for the Bobcats, he was a bad choice, especially in hindsight. Granted, when we drafted him, we had not locked up Carroll or Wallace, or traded for J-Rich, but part of the reason that we made those moves was because we realized that Morrison wasn't going to be a great fit here. He can pretty much play only shooting guard and small forward, and we are pretty much full at those two positions. That's why I would endorse getting rid of him for something other than a draft pick, because we need established players rather than multiple rookies.

Excuse me for using "we," but that's how I feel about the teams that I cheer for.

No problem about you using "we" I do that to.

I dont see how we are full at SG and SF though.....

SG: J-Rich/MC/DA
SF: Wallace/Ammo/Dudley

Dudley came after Morrison and he can play PF as well. I really want Morrison to stay here in Charlotte but I have thought about a few "what if" situations.
What if- Morrison played back up north with Portland? He would start there.
What if- Morrison was on a winning team with a good coach like PHX or SAS or DAL

I dont want him to go anywhere but I do want him to suceed the best he can.
