The Ham Biscuit Express ::) makes its way to Denver tonight.

After a bad... and I mean really bad loss last night against the Warriors, are we going to be able to put it together and get a win. What magnificent plan will our fearless leader Sam Vincent orchestrate to get us a W tonight?

Can we get it done tonight?

With Ray and Crash either out or playing less than 100%, we don't have much more than a prayer against the Nuggets. Just too much talent on that team. We get killed by veally good SG and SF, and AI and Mello are two really good players. I think we get torched tonight, much like last night.

Very possible. They aren't the offensive juggernaut that the Warriors are, but they have Camby which doesn't give us any advantage inside like Mek had last night. A commitment to defense would be nice to see, and maybe Matt can hit the side of a barn with one of his shots tonight ::) There's no fear of these guys because overall they don't like to play defense any more than GS (our us for that matter!), it's just our production has been lacking from anyone not named Mek, GW, or Raymond of late. If these guys want to win, I think they'll hang with them all night; if they go through the motions, a la Sacramento and GS, they will get pasted!

Just caught this: http://www.charlotte.com/bobcats/story/475007.html

Talk about testing the resolve of a team.....holy cow! I'm glad for GW because I hate to see him suffer and struggle on the court, but there's no realistic chance we can win this thing now. Oh well, JD will get some good minutes tonight and that's a plus! I say he sits the Suns game also, and just concede a 1-4 road trip, and try to get on the right track against the Nets at home.

I really don't want Wallace to play if he's hurt. He plays so hard, I fear he would aggravate it and do more damage. Just rest it. I agree that this will help Dudley for a couple games, getting some quality PT against some very good teams. He'll learn alot over this stretch.

Damn, no Crash. That sucks, but it's better if he sits and gets healthy, rather than playing and injuring himself further.

Man, going the way he's been going lately it's a wonder he's lasted this long. Hurt in the San Antonio game, then playing the entire game two nights later. He's a trooper, no doubt, but this may be better for us. He heals. The Dude gets PT - at least I certainly hope so, who knows what swami sammy will do. Hopefully this will force JRich out of this "slump" he's been in lately, and the same for Matt, especially. The game's pretty close to a lost cause anyway, so why not let matt shoot until he gets it?

If we lose this game, oh well, but let's get our offense and defense back on track in this game.

Go Bobcats.

Boys are looking good so far, and no JMac to be seen! I'm liking this line up of Nazi/Othella, Okafor, Duds, Richardson, and Felton. Hope it continues!

WOW!!! No McInnis after a quarter and a half. I like the look of that.

up by 10 at halftime 67-57....and No McInnis...

and did anyone here Ryan Hollins after he clocked the one shot? "Get that shit out of here!" love the attitude and the fierce, though I was afraid that he may get a Tech for that...

i think the real question is if anyone didn't hear him :afro:. He did get lucky he didn't get a tech tho, but lets hope we keep this up.

Great 1st half. With out McInnis in the line-up Felton is playing great, 12pts, 7ast, 2rbs, and 0 TO'S. Richardson and Okafor are both playing great and how about Hollins with 3 blks already? That's awesome to see.

JRich is a man-beast tonight! Mek ain't half bad either  Really good ball movement through 3 qtrs., good player rotations by Vincent, though I'd like to have seen JD and The Nut play some. FTs could very well be our doom tonight, unfortunately. Very very very bad, against Denver's very very very good :-\

I hope this isn't another patented 4th quarter meltdown

Should I be happy that they're in the game with 8 or so minutes to go, or upset that they squandered another lead in the 2nd half?

A little bit of both I guess.

FT's are killing us. Down 99-90 with 7 minutes to go.

This is why I was saying we cannot blame only Sam. it is the players faults. We did not play Jeff, and only limited time for Earl. Ray, J-Rich, Okafor and Dudley all stepped up for Crash being out. Lead by 10 at Half and 5 after 3rd. Then, we choke. We are afraid to win and get into Playoff contention. We squandered another opportunity to make up ground on those ahead of us who also lost. We just need better players who can LEAD us to victory. We have some very good pieces, but we don't have that one guy who can LEAD us.

Can't say we didn't see this one coming. Still, good effort through 3 qtrs, then it hit the fan. Some Euro-trash neanderthal gets hot, the refs bend us over and violate us, and it's over. Kudos to Vincent for getting tossed from the game taking up for Raymond! Not sure why Jeff didn't play at all, especially with an even more ineffective Boykins out there, but it was refreshing to not have Jeff out there for 30+ minutes.

I maintain that FT shooting would've kept us in this one, but we're ranked 29th out of 30 for a reason, and we're 4-16 on the road for a reason. I hate the numbers but they don't lie.

In the long-term, I just don't see how we're going to match the 33 wins we got last year. I predicted we wouldn't in late November, but I hoped I would be proven wrong like I was on 3 other predictions I made. We have yet to put together a win streak of more than 2 games and that is truly pathetic. There are no easy answers on how to turn this thing around, I just hope MJ can make some smart moves in the off-season involving both personnel and coaching because we're precariously close to being either a good team in the future, or a consistent loser :g:

Agreed on that last bit, ohara. My only advice to you is to forget the playoffs; forget how teams above us are doing. It's all irrelevant when we're among a mass of teams on the outside looking in. Until we actually occupy a playoff spot, there is no playoffs. So let the Hawks and Nets and Pacers fans, or whoever is in the 7th and 8th spots, worry about wins and losses affecting their playoff chances. We just need to concern ourselves with our team; evaluate the guys out there to see who is a part of the future; look for the players and coach to get on the same page; see if the succumb to this frustrating season and just go through the motions.

I'm not even saying that this team can't/won't make the playoffs, it's just that right now, we have much more pressing concerns with this franchise, and the players and coaches that represent the team on the court.

I don't see how you can rag the players after the Denver loss seeing as how we were playing without our best player and Felton played 38 minutes on a sprained ankle.

Denver starting playing a lot of zone...or would you call it "box and one"...in the 2nd half. They would double team Mek in the paint and Najeira (sp) pretty much locked down JSwish and denied him the ball. Without those two guys our options pretty much went to 0.

They're a pretty darn good team and it was a stretch to think we should beat them at home (20 and 5 home record) anyway. That being said I thought we played a great for a lot of the game and just got out-coached/out-talented in the end.

And the refs didn't help.

Late to the game-discussion party, and there's a lot I could say right now. Such as, "Crap!" or "Less Jeff and more Raymond, huh? Who'd have thought that that would work?" or "Why so much of the big OH?" Instead, I'll just leave it at the following:

Dudley + Hollins = Heart, and lots of it. They may not be the best players, but they have a lot of "want." Their desire to play hard is awesome. Gotta love it.

Also, I'm currently watching Walter Herrmann lighting up the Mavericks. Good to see.

We'd missed a LOT of shots point blank in the paint (like 8 of them) and no fouls were called. You know how it is with offensive rebounds/putbacks...almost always fouls get called in those situations. After that stretch Felton was driving to the basket one on one, goes up, the ball gets deflected out and the ref...standing RIGHT THERE in front of them...calls it out on Felton's knee.

The replay showed without a doubt that the ball never hit Felton's leg and on top of that the guy hit him and changed his body trajectory...obvious foul.

Vincent blew up...and rightfully so. It wasn't only that, just the "final straw" if you will.

is there anywhere to download a complete game or something? I watched most of the game but i'd like to go back and watch the games over again when i'm not living and dying with every shot. It's not like I want to break down game film or something I just want to re-watch it, because I'm too dumb to remember to set the dvr.
