Miami would get a sweet deal if that went down....

Phoenix would be dumping Marion due to him being a FA next year.

Wow. I'm trying to see this from the Sun's perspective. I guess they want a dominant big man for the playoffs, and Shaq can certainly be that, but he certainly doesn't seem to fit with the phoenix style of play.
For Miami, Wade and Marion would be key, but I'm not sure what they do at center. Do they still have a shot in hell at the playoffs? I'm guessing that this year's a scrap and they hope to play well enough next year to be able to re-sign Marion if they want. Then, what do they do at center this year?

I don't understand this deal from the Phoenix Suns perspective. Shaq is an overweight shell of his former self. Plus he is never EVER healthy.

I thought he lost weight this season, either way a human that is that big is going to have problems with his joints. I don't understand how it's the hip and not a knee or something. Like someone said on the Okafor board, D'Antoni is going to say "what the hell am I supposed to do with this?" Marion wanted out, probably pissed he kept hearing his name getting shopped around. Phoenix is just collecting old injury prone players that used to be dominant, I guess if 2 is a collection. All their eggs are in this years basket.

I don't understand it still, but D'Antoni and Steve Nash seem to like it (or at least won't knock it publicly).

I like what Nash had to say,

This sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun. (From ESPN)
