Its only been 3 days, but it seems like its been a month since we've had a game to talk about.
It appears that Ham Biscuit is finally in agreement with the rest of us. Hes getting Ray on the court as the starting PG and he is giving Nazr and Emeka minutes on the court at the same time. Now we just need to translate the lineup that we've been asking for into some wins on the court.
New Jersey is 2-8 in their last 10 games, so they aren't exactly playing stellar basketball, so lets hope that we can get solid games out of Ray, Emeka and J-Rich in Crash's absence and get out of Friday night's game with a win.
oh yeah, I almost forgot... fine ham biscuit :)

According to charlotte.com wallace is back tonight. Carroll and Anderson are injured, and Mcginnis with illness. Also they have brought back Davidson. http://www.charlotte.com/bobcats/story/484451.html

Jermario is a good player he needs a chance to play. Nice to see Crash back out there. McInnis must have shared a pipe bong or blunt with someone with this awesome throat thing that's going around. I am thinking about sitting this one out because of illness, I definitely won't be yelling, so it's a good thing McInnis won't be out there. Ryan, and the 2 JD's should have some good PT, I'd like to see both of them get double digits.

I almost hate that we called up Davidson so early, cause he's just not gonna get the playing time that he needs.
Whoever we play, let's cut the Nets.

McInnis was probably watching film of him starting and it made him sick

Everyone, I think I just saw Richard Jefferson cry as a result of being absolutely swallowed up by Emeka! Makes ya feel good inside...

We played like crap? A high school team could have of been more competive. Dudley and Wallace the only ones to show up. Ever one else still on the west coast trip.
Well guys who do you like in the loto ?

damn... the effort seemed piss poor from people not named Jared Dudley (and he can't help but play hard). Now others probably gave effort, but it didn't really LOOK that way.
It's just disappointing.

The sad thing is, the last time Dudley put together a solid showing, he was benched

Impressed with Dudley! Great fire, great effort and good stat line; Others were OK
Ray - Dude you are really starting to suck! They turn over the reins to you and what do you do? 4 pts, 2 reb and 1 asst! Earl was better with 13 pts, 2 reb and 2 assts in less time!
We were horrible with assists. My God, they out assisted us 30 to 14. Kidd alone had 13!
Get me a Point Guard!!

Nice to see the time off did the guys some good ::) Only caught the 2nd half, and it was going okay into the 4th, but I guess fatigue caught up with us ::) Okay, uh, McInnis got too many minutes ::) Errrr, uhhhh, GW didn't play ::)
Joking aside, there's no easy answers on why this team is so bad. What I've noticed is listless defense, poor FT shooting, poor shooting in general, and just a talentless squad taking the court. GW is the only consistent player we have with Mek and JRich a distant 2a and 2b. Jared could vie for 2nd alone if he would get more playing time (Wonderful performance tonight!!) Everyone else is just so much flotsam. It still amazes me how stiff, soft, and unathletic we are in the middle, how erratic how PG play is, and how laughable our defense is. How the hell have we won 18 games this year?!?!?
Like I've said numerous times elsewhere, it's not time to panic yet, but this franchise is ever so close to falling off into an even great obscurity, and it'll be years before we field a .500 team. We thought the last off-season was major, this upcoming one will make or break the franchise's future for the next 5 years.

Even sadder is the fact that 3 of our next 4 games are against these powerhouse teams: Pistons, Lakers & Spurs. This was a win that we needed.

With 25 boards between Mek and Nazz no one else must be boxing out at all. Im a BIG Felton fan but he needs to at least try and box out Kidd. 2 FOR 10 and one assist where was he at ? He sure as hell wasn't at the game. His lack of offence was no where near as bad as his lack of defence. We just way to damn inconsistant and i have no idea what makes us better.I agree next off season makes or breaks us . I have no idea what we need or what to do in the off season. But we got to make some smart moves. Thought i would never say this but Felton , May , Morrison , Nazz, Hell the whole team but Wallace i would listen to other teams about trades. Good contracts , draft picks any thing to start reloding next year. This organisition needs to play over .500 ball.
Some observations from seeing it live (it takes me a while to drive home) . . .
The crowd was decent. It looked like it was going to be dead at tip-off, but it was a decent turn out considering how the team is playing. They were also loud at times. I dunno why. None of the players wanted to be there except Duds and Crash and maybe Boykins.
Felton was lost. Completely lost. I think he is a talented guy, but if he can't shake this funk off, then he is destined for the NBA cellar where he'll be clean up guy for 10 different teams in the next 10 years. Maybe his ankle is hurting him? Maybe he took Sean up on some mean Chinese buffet and he ate too much? His play hasn't been stellar at any point this year, but tonight was a new low.
Jrich was shooting alright, but didn't hustle to get himself open. Mek couldn't hang on to fast passes (neither could Nazr). No one boxed out. We made lazy passes. We lacked confidence. We went weak to the basket, etc, etc, etc.
I think it is time to accept reality. This team is no good this year. I think there is a laundry list of reasons. I honestly, no exaggeration here, have a hard time thinking we are going to make it to or passed 26 wins (which we did in just the 2nd year I believe). This team is in a nose dive, spiraling out of control. Lottery pick ftw.
Sorry if this is too negative. These guys are just giving me no hope at all. None.

CM: No apologies necessary, my man. I'm with you and have said as much in the "Fire sam vincent" thread. I've tried to be open-minded about our chances this season, but that overall dud we put up tonight was it for me. I just wish I knew if it was tuning out Vincent and quitting on him, or if they are just that bad in terms of talent. I really am wondering :g:

Talent wise we are a better team this year than we were last year, this years record should speak for itself. :g:
Can I get a Fine Ham Biscuit from the congregation?

I don't think this is a bad team; it has flaws, but it has talent too.
It's Vincent. Trust your eyes.

No kidding! We are a poorly, poorly coached team.
