i mean he is leading the NBA in three pointers... and he has a better percentage then Kobe. The other guys mostly just have a little bit more then he does. Its time to give charlotte some love. Disappointing to say the least again.

I'm surprised that Kobe's in it. He's shooting 35% from 3 versus 42.3% for JRich? That's also with 331 attempts for Jason vs. 240 for Kobe.

Doesn't add up to me.

Edit: Article out today http://www.dailynews.com/sports/ci_8202328, says that Kobe may forgo the all-star weekend to rest his injured pinky.

Fatlever mentioned on the RealGM board that during the Phoenix game Steve Martin said that JSwish was invited but declined. They didn't know the reason but figured that he just needed the rest.

Something else interesting...from a GSW fan:


He never watched playoff games when he was in GS. He said he wasn't going to watch any until the Warriors made it to the playoffs. Maybe declining the invite has something to do with how he feels he is playing, or how the Cats are doing? I'm just guessing here....

Lafayette "Fat" Lever is correct; that was discussed during the game. I can appreciate him wanting to get some rest, but I think it would do the franchise good to have someone compete in nationally televised All Star event. It would force people to recognize that there is a team called the Charlotte Bobcats, not the Hornets, and that we have a damn good shooter. My opinion is he should take one for the franchise, but, like I said, I can appreciate his wanting to take a break and be ready for a postseason push.

Well, I think you've all hit on the same thing. Playing for a team like the Warriors, which has history, choosing to abstain until the team is performing at the level it needs to be is the right idea. There is a large contingent of fans that want to see wins for the team before wins for the individual.

However, in Charlotte we don't have the benefit of History (well, we have another team's history, but not our own) and that larger contingent of die-hard fans. So, Beagle, you may be right that he should do what he can to improve the brand. Really, both moves are right, because they offer different things. It's a matter of selling the brand (which JRich easily winning the 3pt contest would do... kapono who?) versus being right by the team. Either way, I think he made the right decision, so long as he made it for the right reasons... which I think he did after hearing what spectre had to say.
