Tonight at 6pm, the Bobcats face off against the Detroit Pistons. Despite the presence of the Slovenian Butterfly roaming the paint... rather roaming the bench area of the Detroit Pistons, this is going to be an extremely tough game for the Bobcats. If their effort isn't any better than it was Friday night against the New Jersey Nets then its going to be over before the end of the first quarter.

With the Pistons / Lakers / Spurs and the ridiculously athletic Hawks coming up on the schedule either the Bobcats have the choice of stepping it and gutting out some tough wins or beginning the nail in the coffin losing streak that absolutely puts the thoughts of the playoffs out of our minds.

Tonight we'll see where our "fearless leader and basketball mastermind" ::) Sam Vincent leads the team.

Honestly I'm not confident about us getting a win tonight after our sub par performance against the Nets something tells me we are in for another loss to the Pistons tonight. Hopefully I'm WAY off with my prediction and will pull off an upset tonight.

A lot of early turnovers are killing us.

Man oh man does Sam like the small ball. Jeff, Earl and Matt Carroll on the court at the same time? Is this all we have?

All I'm gonna say is: Othella leading that unit in scoring.

finally jamareo gets some pt, but where the hell is Jared... Seriously our coach has no idea what he is doing. I can say that hes retarded lineups of Jeff and Earl together are awful, and we are fucked if he stays our coach.

FIRE HIM NOW! Anything to shake up this season

Has an NBA coach ever been fired mid-game?

I'm just asking.

Charlotte Metro Credit Union might be a little pissed if he got fired. Do you think that commercial is the most he's ever talked to Jared?
"Anyone can start?"
"yess, haven't you seen Jeff McInnis?"

good lord, congratulations bobcats fans, we may be witnessing one of the worst games in recent NBA history.

well Jrich is carrying us to make it look a little bit better. One person, Jrich, has more then 5 points. Dont ever hate on him. He is the bobcats. It is so frustrating to see we cannot do anything without Gerald and Jrich together. Maybe Jrich will explode in the second to bring us to a W. He needs help, badly.

This coach is draining the life out of our team. I'm worried we're gonna start making premature, stupid, short-term roster changes when it is obvious vincent is the main problem. This team will not play for this coach.

MattD

tell me about it. Ditch him now and fast.

I am a row a season ticket holder - and love the team. And yet, here's a coach that gave up on this game after the first quarter. Here's what we've seen this season from this guy: Felton at the 2. McGinnis starting at 1 over Felton. Hermann gone for no good reason. Reason for obtaining Nazr, bogus (i.e., so 50 can play his "natural" position). Re-sign Matt at $4M, then play him so infrequently, he becomes a non-factor. Do what you can to rob the team of confidence. Persist in making crazy, non-sensical rotations. Blame the team for not trying. Blame the team for lack of sleep, not eating right, whatever. Yada yada yada. Very discouraging. Time for managment to step up and demonstrate some leadership by firing Vincent. If we need to bring Bernie back as a place-holder, so be it. Any chance this team has for building a fan base is being squandered by this coach. I've had it.

Well, I snuck a peek at watching the game on internet some, but it was too dejecting. No Crash, and no real offense except for J-Rich. Boy, we really look bad.

I watched some of the Lakers-Heat game. I gotta say, the way The Matrix has that team playing with inspiration, it would not shock me to see them make up the ground on us and pass us by before the end of the season. And that is pretty scary considering we have won 2x as many games as them to date.

So, one of the only things going for us in the last few minutes has been Felton. "Coach" pulls him to put in Boykins, leaving McInnis in the game.

???
::)

On another note, I wonder if Primo and Walter think they're still Bobcats, considering the only time they play is when Detroit plays Charlotte?

I just had to witness a Walter Hermann assist to Primoz Brezac for a two handed dunk... and the butterfly had the audacity to hang on the rim.

I think that I'm going to be physically ill.

Out assisted and out rebounded by double digits each. That is the story of our season.

Come on Ziggy, the butterfly was one of our best players - just ask him.

mattd - i'm mid-court, row a, section 114. as for the game, we had no business hiring an unproven coach. i think our team is a completely dispirited bunch. at least bernie had our team playing 4 quarters. seemed like vincent called it a day in the first tonight.

I was going to post this exact same sentence but I was too busy cleaning up the projectile vomit that I sprayed on the television when it occurred.

All I was trying to do was watch a little Jermareo and Dudley in some garbage time. Why did my eyes have to subjected to that??!!

yep, I know. Check out the bobcats discussion section for lots of vincent hate. I dont know too many people who would rather keep him at this point. Its really too bad. Even if its not his fault (which I really think it is) he is going to be the sacrificial animal for this team and its fans frustrations. Tough being totally unproven, 1 year NBA 3rd assistant and going to a team that should be good and needs strong leadership.

Welcome, to BCP Jiff. You're right on, too. I'd much rather see Bernie on the bench right now. SV's got us playing pathetic.

Tonights game was the worst game of basketball I ever saw by a Bobcats team. The coach looked like he didnt care, the players looked like they didnt care. Is MJ not noticing the things that we are here at BCP? Bernie would be a definate step up in coaching. Hell Id be a step up in coaching at least Im smart enough to listen to those that do know more than I do. MJ please do something before you lose the fans you already have..... :g:

Worse than the Nets game? Really? I'll be honest and tell on myself; I watched probably a total of 2 minutes of gametime of the game, opting instead to watch UCLA get beaten, and then my Heels somehow pull out a miracle 2OT win over Clemson. (Psycho T= best player EVER at UNC!!!) That was so much fun to see a resilient group of guys, down to only one PG (and a 3rd stringer at that), facing a team that absolutely had them on the ropes, and pull it out.........and then there's the Bobcats...

While the Heels were getting pounded on early, I flipped to the game and Detroit had us doubled up 46-23, and I saw Jermareo out there, and was happy about that, yet humbled by the score. At halftime of the Heels game, I stomached a little more of the game, and saw JRich and Mek playing by themselves with what looked like Jeff McInnis, but I figured it couldn't be because he was now our 3rd striger and would be seeing limited minutes, this according to the head coach (must have been a mirage), along with a lost Raymond and Nazr. I was proud of the guys for getting it down to 15, but there just wasn't much going on defensively, and I saw where GW couldn't play, so I bailed and watched the Heels game to its improbable conclusion !!!!

Sounds like it was a pretty damn dismal game. I really can't imagine Vincent being coach at the end of the year; I have a gut feeling he will be, but it's just hard to imagine with the way things are going, and will continue to go.

I admit, my passion is absolutely gone with this team; I really got nothing left and I'm not even excited about going to any future games. I have tickets for tomorrow night's game, but there's only about a 5% chance I'm going. I have the day off and I figure I can get some things done around the house; plus I imagine the Lakers turnout will be big and I don't want to fight that traffic (like the Celtics game) after getting blow out of the water; plus I have tickets to the Hawks game on Wednesday, and I'd rather go to that one so I can meet Smitty before the game; the game itself? Ehhh. I'd be estatic with a win, but I have no expecations that they can get it done; I'll be there in body, but the spirit will leave probably sometime shortly after halftime :-\

Bobcats fan forever, I assure you, but I also have the right to tune the guys out when they play with lethargy and listlessness. Six losses and counting......... :(
