I know he'll likely be resigned by Washington, but I want him on our team. Watching him with consistant minutes he'd be an awesome backup and possibly start for the team.

His contract expires this year, and he's 22. He's got loads of potential and we looked into getting him last offseason. We can also offer him more money than most teams, along with the most minutes...with a shot to start.

Don't know enough about the guy to form a genuine opinion. Being burdened with Nazr's contract, I don't know how we can afford anyone right now, aside from our '08 draft picks and re-signing Mek. At least that's what my salary cap guys, spectre and Bret, have said previously. If they guy can competently defend his position, I'm all for it though, if it's feasible!

I've seen the guy play a couple times and he can be pretty beastly at times. It'd be nice to have him on our team right about now.

Bumpus, the trade Machine has his contracted listed with 5 years left on it, with 2.5 mill for this year and who knows how much afterwards.
So, I tried some trades to get him, just to see what it would take. I took a look at him this summer and liked him for the team, but we may have missed the boat. Due to Base Year Compensation, we could send no contract or combo of contracts larger than Jared's and have it work out.
I just don't see how it would work, but Blatche does seem like a good kid. I think we missed the opportunity.

Right Muttley, the Wiz signed him to a multi year deal back in April 2007...and it was a frigging steal. I think it was around 15 million for 5 years or there abouts.

No way they let him go.

Dont mean to sounds bad here, but I feel like every post on bobcats planet is re-iterating what I said earlier. My first post was about Andray Blatche. He has been my man since he was drafted by the Wiz (when I was a wiz fan, Monta Ellis was too, but thats a different story, maybe I should be a scout?) Anyways he will be the most underpaid player in the league in about 2 years. He is a great passing and scoring big who plays like a guard a lot. He can shoot and with time he will be really a nice piece to any team. I was really disapointed to hear that the bobcats didnt try after him, we need to try to go after some pieces other then draft picks and big trades. Thats why we are getting killed in my opinion, too much reliance on the draft, not poor decision making in the draft, but too much. But anyways, Blatche will be very very good.

My friends from DC still call me when he has a good game, hes a beast.
