Gregg Popovich. He's whining about the Gasol-Lakers trade and why Memphis did this is "beyond comprehension".

"There should be a trade committee that can scratch all trades that make no sense. I just wish I had been on a trade committee that oversees NBA trades. I'd like to elect myself to that committee. I would have voted no to the L.A. trade."

Does anyone else think this is just a whiny complaint because the Spurs didn't pull something like that?

Mr. Popovich regards himself too genius. Is it someone else when they tanked the 1996-97 season in order to draft Tim Duncan? Was that as ethical as Pau's trade?

Grizzlies had no short term targets left, so they decided to go younger. It's true that they should have gotten much more for Gasol, but this is Chris Wallace's problem.

Does anyone think that may be what we are doing this season? :g:

With Crash being told to sit out last night, etc. It does have that feel.

I guess it's unlikely. Even if we try to tank, we can't get worse than Miami, Minnesota, Seattle and New York. IMO it's foolish to tank to get 5th place in the draft.

Of course it is a lottery, however. Portland and Seattle weren't supposed to draft #1 and #2 last year either. Its all up to the ping pong balls. Ive got my fingers crossed, and I think if we got Hibbert, Sam Biscuit would get a WHOLE lot smarter as coach.
