One Bright Spot

I was reading how Rashard Lewis is saying how he must work harder in Orlando. After signing that $118,000,000.00 Contract, his numbers are down this yr. So I thought I'd compare what we have in Crash this yr vs what Orlando hamstrung themselves with in Lewis.

Lewis: Salary is $14.4 mil
Game Avg. 18.3 pts 5.2 reb 1.15 stls .4 blk

Crash: Salary is $9.5 mil
Game Avg. 21.2 pts 6.1 reb 2.21 stls 1 blk

I know that we may have made a couple bad decisions when it comes to Contracts, but Orlando has absolutely hamstrung themselves. I am thankful for Crash and his commitment to the team and his willingness to agree to a "reasonable" Contract. I still think athletes are grossly overpaid for playing a game we all love, but if the market allows it, God Bless Them - go get the $.

We have not had a great deal to cheer about so far this season, so I wanted to put something down where we can look and say "We did good!."

Good call Ohara, and at the right time too. Saving money is a good way to make things look up, and those numbers you posted show why.

I am also thankful for Gerald Wallace, even if he scares the crap out of me by his playing style. He's an incredible athlete and he deserves all the he gets.

I look at it as basically getting JSwish AND Crash for what it cost Orlando to get Lewis...from that perspective we got a heckuva deal!

Everytime I see those numbers or think about Rashard Lewis as a player I get so happy, I chuckle a bit and look forward to our next game against Orlando. That plus Mek/Howard plus JJ/Ammo(maybe?) match us up against Orlando, our 2 nationally televised games have been against them....I hate Orlando.

Everybody and their moms know that Lewis was way overpaid. It's great to see Wallace get such amazing numbers this year and I believe they're only gonna get better and better with time.
