Now, I have a question for you rules gurus. Does the 3pm deadline mean that teams must "agree in principle" to the deal and then the league can sign off on it afterward? Or does it mean that it must be completely official by 3pm today?
Honestly, I'd like to get us some more draft picks. We don't need a blockbuster deal, but draft picks give us options for next season, and with all these expiring contracts we can fill roster spots with potentially quality cheap young talent. That's what I liked so much about the Othella trade that spectre mentioned in the other thread. It was almost as though we were buying another draft pick. Unfortunately, Elson went to Seattle instead, but we might still be able to pull off something similar.

30 minutes to go. According to ESPN Chad Ford, Charlotte has been very vocal and agressive on making a move to try and get into Playoffs. They just wont deal Raymond, Crash, Okafor or J-Rich. Seems to me that the only thing they have is Carroll and expirings, unless they think of trading Dudley. I like Dudley, but we'll see if anything happens.

According to Gerald Green he's been traded to Houston for Kurt Snyder and a 2nd round pick.  I read that he actually called into a radio (or tv) station to announce it.
Supposedly a Wallace/Duhon for Hughes is close.
Muttley I think it has to be "in front of" the league offficials by 3 pm but don't hold me to it.
Ohara...there's always our pick, but I'd be loathe to trade it unless we're getting something good.  Only problem is the names being thrown out aren't that great.
Marion (agent denies the Heat is shopping him)
Gooden, which I'd be ok with
Wally Z...cap killer
Miller/Lowry...supposedly Memphis wants to include Cardinal's horrible contract in any deal.
Ben Wallace (God no)
Anyone on the Sonics except Durant & Green, but they want equal/better value.  I'd love Wilcox, but if Ford is right on the "untouchables...which I believe...that ain't getting him.

Chad probably meant that Sam Vincent was asking around to see if anyone had extra tickets to a playoff game

It was on his Insider Chat today at 1:00. I have to guess we were discussing trading Carroll and some expiring Contracts if anything. Oh well, with the 6th worse record in the league and most of our games on the road, Ican only guess that we are aiming at getting into the to 4-5 range with the Draft.

I didn't expect us to make some major deal in a push to get to the playoffs. That ship has sailed. I did, however, hope that we would make some moves to possibly acquire more picks, free up some money, get rid of McInnis so that coach cannot play him, or something like that.

I was also hoping to get rid of some of the dead weight on our bench, while dreaming of a Chris Wilcox trade, who I think would be the perfect player next to Mek. :)

Richardson
Wallace
Wilcox

It's his contract. He's too inexpensive a player to get anything good in return. We'd have to get another player in a rookie contract or a vet who signed for a few million a year. What vet is worth that in exchange for Felton?
If the idea is a playoff push, then picks don't really help.

What about expiring contracts, we have those on our bench. Seattle is going to need some of those to sign all their draft picks. Can't we put together some kind of package to lure Chris Wilcox, who stated publicly he doesn't want to live in OKC.
Since we are not in rebuild mode, can we please go after a Power Forward. Sean May is not looking like the Answer at that position.
We are a PF away from the Playoffs.

I concur with all the above. I'm pretty much okay with sitting still. I imagine whoever was interested in our players were wanting to steal them anyway. Also, the playoffs are out of the conversation, so there is no reason to improve the team, or "shake" the team up for the sake of doing something.
As I said, and someone else I don't remember, the coaching situation is the most important thing until the draft in June. Trading is irrelevant 'til then.
