No Crash, possibly no J-Rich, 1-9 over our last 10 games and we have a ham biscuit on the bench... Good Times, Real Good Times.
The Celtics on the other hand are 24-4 at home, have won 7 of their last 10 games and are leading the Eastern conference by a full 3 games. I don't want to ever say that the possibility of getting a win Friday night is hopeless, but its damned close.
What do you guys think?

Hey, we are one of those four teams that beat them at home! We can do it again
Oh, what's that you say? The guy that made that happen the first time may have only one eye at his disposal for Friday? Then nevermind.
It's not looking good for tomorrow. I wanna see huge games from Carroll, Dudley and Davidson.

There's a nasty rumor going around that the Cats played the Knicks the other night and got torched by 24. Let's hope that wasn't the case.... ::)
Anyways, we shouldn't have any chance to win this game, but we've outplayed the Celtics in both games this year and have already beaten them in Boston. I will go out on a limb and say this though: in the likely event we lose, it will be by less than 24.

Sucks to say this but if J-Rich is not playing I'll probably skip watching the game because it will be ugly.

I just have a feeling that we will hang in there during the first half. We will be within striking distance through most of the 3rd qtr, but then fall apart. The lead will get to above 20 and Boston will take mercy and pull their starters half way thru the 4th.

You know what is really bad? That for several weeks now I have thought how good Kendrick Perkins would be on our team because we could use him. Kendrick Perkins. Man o man, we have some troubles.

In case you haven't heard, theres good news.
Jeff just got his walking papers (http://www.bobcatsplanet.com/joomla/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,69/topic,5531.0)
Good start from us but Carroll is getting destroyed by Ray Allen on defense.
Good quarter offensively for us but we've got to play better defense if we're gonna win this game tonight. The guys just haven't been aggressive enough.

Hey, they played a good game against a much better team. I'm proud of the effort. Solid games for J-Rich and Ray overall, did not get much help from Okafor tonight.

Agreed. Raymond, except for a couple hiccups (but even Chrissy Paul has those), looked like a solid starting PG tonight. Being the first game post-Jeff, very very encouraging performance for Raymond!!
Likewise, JRich with yet another in a series of herculean efforts. What a fuggin' steal of a draft day trade with the Warriors. Just a steal!!!
Special mention to JDuds who is just so much fun to watch play. Obviously he is less athletic than Crash by a longshot, and doesn't create the defensive or offensive havoc of GW, but they share the fire and determination and persistence! JD is, in his own way, helping me get through my "Crash withdrawal."
Overall, this was a good game: we could've laid over like against the Knicks, but instead of mailing it in at 17 points down, we whittled the thing down, and made the Beatntown jerks sweat it out. And for once, I can't complain about the starting lineup. Almost brought tears to the eyes!!
Let Felton play PG the whole game and look at the numbers he puts up....

Beagle, I was looking for the words to comment on the game, and I found them in your post. We looked better than we have in some weeks. This is what happens when you don't start/play/employ your 3rd string pg.

Its good to be a little excited again with McInnis gone. That season-long ordeal had gotten exhausting!! So FINALLY we have a reasonably balanced starting 5.
If only Rondo hadn't been such a pain the butt. Honestly, I thought Rajon played with a lot of heart on defense; and when Ray Allen is as hot as he was, look out.
So with that we hung in there and played them well enough; considering:
JRich's missing way too many shots; especially 3's.
Okafor and Nazzie WAY too soft inside. Okafor in a funk and the Nazz sleep-walking. I love Oak and am one of his biggest supporters (I think), but these occasional lapses are hard. Something large needs to happen to this team that fires Emeka up. He's definitely a troubled soul.
How about Dudley! I was very impressed with JD; as usual.
Nice to see Davidson getting PT; he's so raw, but FUN to watch. At this point, just getting a little entertainment value is enough for me.
Announcers said that when Carroll gets over 22 minutes in a game, his shooting percentage goes up 10%. Haven't we been SCREAMING "Play Carroll!" all season?! Hint to Vincent....
Also...its SO obvious; when Felton plays the point, his production increases DRAMATICALLY (sigh) go figure. Now lets see if the team production is better...Ray's stats were nice, but I still had my frustrations with his choices at times. Still; I'll take Ray's choices every day over the alternatives. It will be fun to have Ray at the point finally. I hope Sam doesn't screw it up somehow.

Not dissing Jeff McInnis. It's on Sam that the team and the fans(!) have been put through this misery.
It's just bizarre that they have to cut Jeff to "see" if Felton can play point guard. Wretchingly stupid. There should be no question Ray can play PG; its just a matter of how good he can be. He truly sucks at SG however; you'd think someone might have noticed that....its in the numbers; and the losses.
In the other thread you all throw out some good ideas behind this; but who knows...just...strange. Don't think anyone will own up to the inside scoop.

I can't remember the last game that was really worth watching from start to finish, but this one definitely was. To think only 2 starters really showed up and we were still able to "worry" the Celtics says there's still a lot of that heart on this team (a bunch came from GSW this last offseason). Felton had a fine game for his coming out party, and Jason did well while still sporting a bum eye. Mek was in "Toodles" mode and Nazr really struggled. The JD boys are still a positive and will be even moreso if Vincent continues to give them PT. Hammer (like someone said) gettting CONSISTENT minutes equals someone worth his contract.
TheBeagle, Keetch...echo your sentiments.

Felts would have probably broke his career high assist numbers last night if others were knocking down there shots but all in all to lose by only 8 w/o Crash is impressive props to all the guys that showed up last night.
