A roster move means other guys have to step up now. I think we'll see it happen. Big game on Sunday, and it's Rufus' birthday! The mascot stuff throughout the night is worth the price of admission - this is one of my favorite games of the season. Quick breakdown of the celebration (Rufus' birthday, not the recent roster move):

- mascots coming include;
Sir Purr, Carolina Panthers
Champ, Dallas Mavericks
The Coyote, San Antonio Spurs
Ramses, UNC Chapel Hill
Cocky, University South Carolina
Mr. Wuf, North Carolina State University
Demon Deacon, Wake Forest University
The Tiger, Clemson University
Norm the Niner, UNC Charlotte

- they will be roaming the concourse pre-game to sign autographs and take pictures

- they will be involved in 8 different promotions throughout the game, including an all-hands-on-deck tshirt toss in the 4th quarter (which is a sight to see)

And best of all, it's a Sprite Family Night so you get 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs and 4 drinks for $65. Not a bad way to spend an early Sunday evening.

Come on out and see which guys are going to step up for us, and enjoy the mascot mayhem on display throughout the Arena.

You shouldn't try to promote the game b/c mascots are gonna be roaming the arena, that's just sad.

A roster move means other guys have to step up now. I think we'll see it happen. So far so good after the Celtics game tonight!! Raymond looked like a legit starting PG tonight, and the startling lineup was a beauty to behold, considering GW's injury, of course. I was never against Jeff being on the team, it's just he should've been third string, and by NO MEANS a starter. Thankfully, and hopefully "Coach" will leave Raymond at PG no matter what 'til seasons end, and we can finally see what we have....what a refreshing thought, and it only took 2.5 seasons to do it ::)

It wouldn't surprise me to see Felton and Boykins playing together in a few games or so...

I'm not even kidding.

"A roster move means other guys have to step up now."

LOL more like "...other guys are freed from prison". Step up? How can they not step up? The shackles are off; all they have to do is show up.

And yeah; celebrating Rufus' birthday is definitely not a reason to go see a game. Sounds a little scary.

I'll be there. I hope the mascots fight each other though, I'm going to be upset if they don't fight each other.

Michael, I'm really enjoying the new features on the official website. It was a LONG time coming but I think your team have done a good job - especially with the video pieces. It really gives us an insite as to what is going on.

Of course, everyone was out for Toronto last time we played them, and that didn't end well. Then again, that was in Toronto. We're much better at home.

I'm guessing that Nazzy will guard Rasho and EO50 will be left chasing Bargs around the 3pt line. Not ideal, but still better than trying to keep up with CB4!

I think he heard you. 15 boards, 14 pts.

Next, tell him we want that on a regular basis.

He's still got to grip that ball when he's flying to the rim like that...but yeah, much better effort tonight.

Playing for that contract baby...let's see some 20-20s!

Could you imagine if he had of stuffed those two dunk attempts that he tried from high in the key? That would have been SICK!!

Not unlike Twiggy's dunk! Now that boy and throw down!

Keetch

Twiggy is pure entertainment; especially when delivering hard fouls with seconds to go and the home team up by 14.

That hard foul was classic. It was as if he said "Clock? What clock? I don't care about a clock."

Thanks for the feedback on the new website. We're proud of it, but we're not done yet. The site - and everything else - will get better. That's what we're all here doing each and every day. But the more feedback we get from our fans the better we can make it, so keep it coming.

What did you guys think of the lineup that got a ton of minutes together last night?
- Felton
- Carroll
- JRich
- Dudley
- Okafor

I thought their energy level was high and sustained. Fun unit to watch.

Yeah, he's still a far cry from "Dwight Howard money." At this late in the game, he'll never get there, but maybe if we see a bunch of 20-20s out of him, we can offer him the same contract again (so long as he promises not to just stop doing it once the check clears).

Michael, words cannot express how enjoyable that lineup was to watch, but it's also painful to think what our record would be, had we gone with lineups that made sense all season. :)

Agreed agreed and agreed. That unit was sick. However, about halfway through the fourth quarter I started asking myself why this wasn't perfect earlier in the season.

Does this mean that Sam Vincent is going to keep his job next year?

Agreed all of us Fans have been asking for that line up from day one. And wanted those guys along with Wallace to be the core all along. I JUST CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHY THAT COACH NEVER PALYED THOSE GUYS BEFOR NOW????????

Absolutely. That is what makes the whole thing unbelievable; we thought we had an idea of what would work in terms of lineups, we couldn't guarantee it would work, but it would be worth a shot, better than starting Jeff again and again and again and....... Yet this guy just WOULD NOT do it.

Edrow bring up a very good question. I think cutting Jeff was management's warning to "Coach" that he could very well be next if he doesn't change some things up. Now that he's changed some things up, I think it will help him keep the job through the end of the season, almost assuredly, but I think ST renewals and how the players respond to him through the end of the season will ultimately determine his fate during the offseason.

dav7z
03-04-2008, 07:03 AM
Beagle agreed compleatly. Management has to be concerned about coach Vincent. Thease last twenty some games will determine a lot. WIN OR LOSE his rotations ,having his players playing to win[ having his players start to buy into what hes doing]May be possable with Mcinnis gone.Hustle hard work and players attitude is the only think thet might save his job.
