I'll be very glad to get him back. I imagine the idiot will work him in somewhat slowly, and from what he said Crash might get a break playing the PF slot for a game or two until he changes his mind next week.

I don't think Micki Moore intentionally injured Crash, but he seems to have a problem swinging those elbows of his around:

SacBee - Kings' Blog (http://www.sacbee.com/static/weblogs/sports/kings/archives/011038.html)

Speaking of next time, Lakers guard Sasha Vujacic said he can't wait to see the Kings again. Not only did Sasha believe he was wronged on the call in which he fouled Beno Udrih from the floor in what led to the game-winning free throws, but Vujacic felt no shame from the acting job he did to prompt a technical on Mikki Moore late in the fourth.

"I would like to play Sacramento again and I think we’re going to play them again soon, so I think that makes it very interesting," Vujacic said. "Every loss is painful, especially this one. The way I was called for that foul at the end. I don’t want to talk about it, but we had the game. We found a way to come back and we almost won it. It’s tough to lose like that."

And what of the Oscar-worthy performance he gave when Moore swung an elbow that didn't come close to Vujacic despite his theatrics that made it look otherwise?

"(Moore) was swinging with the elbows before that," he said. "I think every swing like that with the elbows should be a technical when a big guys takes the elbow out."

Vujacic's theatrics notwithstanding.

I was actually suprised that Moore wasn't called for a foul when he hit Crash. I'm pretty sure a player can motion to clear space by swinging his arms, and if a denfender is brave/stoopid enough to walk into it good luck to them, but if the elbow swinger connects is should be called as an offensive?

Crash was straight up and down when Moore clocked him.

Thats why I think the Ref's need to go back to Ref school and also to the eye doctor. You can see the exact same type foul in 10 different games and it will be called 10 different ways. They need to have a set standard on how they call fouls. Ive seen the Refs just single out players and call fouls good or bad against them all game. Its getting ridiculis and to me "obvious"..... :g:

I feel good about him returning. If he's not playing PF I think he can do nothing but help. I think he should ease in though. Sam will start him and play him at the 4 and tell him the mouth guard will slow him down. As dumb as he might look he might really need to wear one of those helmets like some goal keepers in EPL wear or the guys in that trampoline dunking league wore. I don't know of any basketball players I've ever heard of that have had 4 concussions.

I was going to make a thread about what I'm going about to say, but I guess it goes in to this thread?

What do you people think of Wallace and our chemistry?
If we win on Wednesday, than everybody will say it's because of Wallace and how better of a team we are now because of his return.

If we lose then we will say he hasn't been on the floor during these stretch of games and therefore, he has messed up the chemistry.

I'm anxious to see this game on Wednesday so I can determine what kind of an impact Gerald will have and to see if his concussion has slowed him down at all.

You may have got this mixed up a bit. Our team is now on a four game winning streak without Crash on the court. What I envision happening is our team winning tonight and having a five game winning streak without Crash on the court, only to lose when/if he returns on Wednesday. If that happens I can envision people saying that somehow Crash was hurting the chemistry of the team. I don't believe that for a second but it wouldn't surprise me if people believed that.

Crash will only make us better but it may take time for him to get into the swing of things again being that he has been gone for so long. In my opinion, the only thing that has improved the chemistry of this team is the release of Jeff McInnis. Nice guy but I think the players realized he was holding them back by playing so
many minutes every game night. The " Fine Ham Biscuit," has not been a very good coach up to this point but with the four wins in a row the cats have won maybe he is maturing as a coach and in how he relates to his players. One can only hope!

Heh, Tex that appears like you wrote that before the victory over the Wizards!

I pretty much agree with the rest though. Fans will definitely say it (hell, look at all the idiotic things fans say anyway), but we've not beaten Dallas one time yet...kind of hard to throw any blame on Crash coming back off an injury.

We'll be fine with Crash back at the THREE.

I made the mistake of not realizing the Cats played Saturday night and that the team has won five straight already. I agree that beating a team of Dallas's caliber is quite different then beating the teams we have beaten on this streak. That is not to say that Golden State, Toronto and Washington are bad teams or even for that matter Atlanta but I don't believe they are anywhere near as good as a Mavericks team is. If anything having Crash back for that game would be a huge lift for the team and really a much needed addition in order for us to have a chance at winning. My only concern is how Crash plays when he drives deep in the paint around bigger players. He may play the three but I still worry about his psyche. Hope he comes back as Crash and not as Crushed.

I hope we bring him back slow and he works his way back in with the starters. Dudley needs to be playing Dirk no way crash needs to . Dudley is key to wining this sixth game.
Not thet im saying Crash hurts anything . Just after a injery like that he needs to come back slow. He damn sure don't need no 30mins + HIS FIRST GAME BACK.

I thought about the chemistry, and I think they became a unit, because Crash went down, not because he wasn't in the lineup. It had nothing to do with Sam Vincent or McInnis.

I just hope GW comes back and doesn't get hurt in any capacity the rest of the season.

As far as chemsiry, I don't see how he can do anything but help. Matty's and JD's minutes will be affected to some degree, especially JD's, but it's not like he's going to be reduced to 5 minutes a game, like he was before McInnis was waived. Secondly, before he went down, Gerald was the team's 2nd best passer, especially to JRich cutting under the basket (don't forget his 10 assist game vs. Philly when he struggled with his shot).

To suggest that GW's presence is going to retard the growth the team has shown the last 6 games is borderline heretical, but in the spirit of discussion, I think I can overlook it
