Can anyone tell me about this guy? I'm reading on nbadraft.net that his potential is very high and said this:

Long athletic bigman who is absolutely bursting with potential ... Runs the floor exceptionally well ... Improving at a rapid pace on both ends of the floor. Has freakishly long arms: around a 7-6 wingspan which makes him a great rebounder and shot blocker ... Can really become a force defensively when he adds strength and discipline on opponent's shot fakes ... His length makes it extremely difficult for opponents to get shots over ... His offensive game is showing a lot of promise with developing back to the basket skills. He even shows some ability to face the basket and make drives or spot up ... Has a competitive spirit that is not apparent in many bigmen who picked up the game because of their size. A late bloomer who went underrecruited out of Chicago. McGee's parents were both professional basketball players so he has been around the game from a young age ... Shows solid form and touch on his shot ... Has a tremendous frame which should allow him to get much stronger and retain his great agility and athleticism ... Gives great effort and shows very good stamina for a bigman his age ... Added strength will give him better balance and make him a lot more effective imposing his will inside ... Has the potential to be a top 5-10 center in the league someday (if he's patient about entering the NBA) ... Has even shown the ability to knock down shots from college 3, no question influenced by the presence of Nick Fazekas last year ...

I like that he's athletic, huge wingspan and bursting with potential. If we keep winning and move lower in the draft, he sounds like he may be an option as he's 7' and 240 at 20 yrs old.

His video reminds me a lot of Ryan Hollins ... except with a better handle, significantly more shooting range and superior basketball skills. :)

if he does declare and we do slip into the playoffs and have the #15 pick or something, why not chance him. Get a real big man coach and see what we can get, I think I would rather have him then Hibbert, and he could be great, sometimes weve got to risk it, weve been mildly conservative in our drafting and weve just been ok from that.

I think if we were going with someone who has a lot of upside, then Anthony Randolph seems to fit the bill a little better.

Can you provide a few details about him?

Randolph sounds like a Chris Bosh type.

Sad to say Bumpus but I've never actually seen him play so it's hard to comment further than what I have read.

The "Bosh" type has been thrown around a lot - as it was with Blatche, LMA, B.Wright and a few others.

I've read that he has some handles, is pretty creative with his offense and is a long, lanky left hander. Solid on the boards and can block shots.

He is rail thin though - just like B.Wright, Just like Jamereo Davidson.

He sort of falls into that "do we want to invest in another thin, offensive big who needs some meat on his bones while we have Davidson on the roster and want to see what he can do" sort of catagory IMO.

He is seen as someone with a lot of potential who can go anywhere from 8th - 15th. We let Wright go so we could get J-Rich. If we fall in the draft into the teens, I really would not mind him, but I think Love is a more sure bet, and also Hibbert if still there. I dont know much about the Thabeet? guy from UConn, but if you all think that highly of him, I wont argue.
