After getting smoked by the Memphis Grizzlies in a game that we had to have if we were going to have any reasonable shot at the playoffs, Wednesday night we match up against the Indiana Pacers. After that sad display Monday there are a lot of questions leading into this game:
* Do the players still care?
* Does the coach care?
* If the coach does care, is he competent enough to do anything about it?
* Why doesn't Emeka just dunk that damned ball?
* Why did the awesome power of Jason Richardson's shorts run out in the 2nd half?
* Why do they play that friggin Sprite commercial every 4 minutes?
* Why did I eat Chinese tonight? its going to give me nightmares... :-\ OK, maybe thats a little too much sharing.
What are your thoughts on Wednesday's game?

I haven't decided if it's me giving up on the team or not, but I'm not watching, or more like taping the game, since I'll be late at work tomorrow night. I figure if the players can show up haphazardly to games, my viewing of their games can be just as erratic.
Still debating about even going to the Miami game Saturday. Weighing it against staying home watching tourney action, I'd have to say good luck without me Bobcats.
All the discouragement aside, I do hope they beat the Pacers. They're pretty much stuck at 7 or 8 in terms of worst record whatever they do because of the sorry teams beneath them, so losing for draft positioning doesn't do any good.

Weve been kicked in our manhoods so many times this season I am numb. I cant feel a loss nomore. I get a sick feeling when I think V may be back next season too. I get a sick feeling everytime I see Mek miss a layup. I get the same sick feeling when J-Rich and or Felton has a bad night. Im still joyful that McInnis isnt here no more. But I see coach trying to turn Boykins into a McInnis type player. Seriously do we have a chance in this game? :g:

Is Sam Vincent still coach?
Is so, then sorry; not interested.
Team dismissed.

As I can see by the fact that there are 4 total posts at the 10 min mark of the 1st quarter, not a whole hell of a lot of intrest in this game. Is Indiana's arena still called Conseco Field House? Is it near a field of any type?
I'm drinking, because that's the only way I can watch this crap. I'm generally a happy drunk. So if they start really pissing me off I'll just say screw it and maybe rip them on the board. If they play well and win I'll celebrate with more drinks.
God help me if Kareem Rush does well in this game, it will be bad. I like this glass and i don't want to throw it.
Who has more white guys, the Washington Generals or the Indiana Pacers?

this MJ thing has been grating on me and then I had a revelation during the game tonight. Who is the biggest name in Indiana basketball, maybe sports in general history? I'd have to say Larry Legend. Where does Larry watch the games? Either in a regular lower level seat or in the tunel area. Why is he able to do this every home game and MJ can't?
Unlike Michael, Larry doesn't have a god-complex. MJ thought it'd be nice to have an investment in the pros, if it does well, then he'll be furthered praised, if it doesn't he's still filthy rich. I get the feeling he thinks he's too good for the Bobs and is just going to be around long enough to sell whatever ownership he has when he has a chance to have a stake in Chicago (if that ever even happens)
As far as the game goes we're up 7 at the half and are playing some decent ball. Not that anyone cares . . . or that it will last 4 periods.

On one of my rants, I was harping on why MJ doesn't get out and sit with the crowd. Mark Cuban does, and he has more money than MJ and Robert Johnson combined. And you're right about Larry Legend sitting in the stands as well. MJ needs to be a part of the community and fan base as well as being part owner.
By the way, we're getting whipped in the 2nd half. Down 13 with under 6 to play. Boy, is Okafor tearing it up tonight. He's a beast out there!!!
We cut it to 5 pts with 3:55 to go. Do we have a comeback in us tonight?
Nope.

We suck. I said it, We. I suck too, I haven't done enough as a fan. I haven't written an angry email. I haven't called the arena and left an angry voicemail. I haven't done enough. How the hell do the Pacers come back on us and go on like a 40-8 run? Well Steve, who i think has given up on the team and the season, although he does keep on about a tie breaker at stake, Steve told me we just went on an 8-0 run to bring it within 6. It might get us back. Matty with 18 JRich with 16, hmm.

by the way I'm posting every stray thought until Jeff McInnis is removed from under my name.  I feel cursed.
I finally got to 150 and it now says Sean May, my knee hurts real bad all of a sudden
Well, the Bobcats lose another. The sun came up, I went work, the sun went down, the Bobcats lost.
Same old thing.
And one of our patented 13-15 point quarters was the reason. Have one of those every game and you'll lose every single one of them.

I did not see the game, but Okafor only played 20 minutes. 2 pts and 3 rebounds. Was he pulled for ineffectiveness, or was he injured?
Cannot believe we cannot beat an Indiana team without O'Neal or Granger playing. Geeesh!

It's bad. I'll have nightmares about this tonight. I usually just have terrible dreams that have a soundtrack after Bobcats games. "just can't seem to get right babe, just cant seem to get right" "I'm falling away, with you!" "Alright Du-wayne lets find a nice jump shot. Jump Shot? Just dunk it!" AHHH! Make it stop!

Hey BigCat, what was the drink of choice for watching tonight's game? Because if what you were drinking actually made the 2nd half enjoyable to watch then I need to go to the ABC store and pick some up.

He was pulled because of ineffective coaching.

Can someone fill me in on the Okafor matter? Played only 20 minutes. Injury or pulled for being ineffective?

Thanks Ziggy. But I have to say, Coaching is only part of it. I'm sorry, but I feel he's just quit on us. He just doesn't have the heart to play all out and it breaks my heart. We gotta get him out of here, for our sake and for his. He's a good guy, and I want him to be happy. He ain't gonna be happy with us. Turned down $13 mil, and now his play this yr has cost him dearly. Maybe he will blame the new Coach and new system, but it cannot be fixed. We gotta find a way to move him for a player and a Lottery pick. Get us a new player and him a new home. Best thing for everyone.

He'll blame that crazy "run and gun" system that biscuit likes to run.
That is the biggest flippin joke in Bobcats history. I so had my hopes up for the quintessential speed team.

Ohara,
Have you ever had a boss that you knew was a moron, that had no business being in the position that they were in. That same boss that repeatedly comes up with dumb ideas, assign the wrong tasks to the wrong people. The same boss that would take no blame for any of the failures but puff out his chest on one of the rare successes?
After a while, it becomes impossible to give your 100% effort for a boss like that.
From the outside looking in, that appears to be Emeka's situation.
This is my take on moving Emeka:
I feel that if Sam stays next season, then Mek has to go. For whatever reason they can't coexist.
If Sam goes, then we need to find a fiscally responsible way to keep Mek.

Ziggy:
Yes, I've been in that situation. That's why I've been my own boss for the last 9 years! If I'm gonna blame my boss for being a dummy, I'll do it looking in the mirror.
I understand what you are saying. I just dont see us paying Okafor $13 mil or above. And I dont see his ego allowing him to play for us for less. He'll blame the reduction on the mgmnt for hiring Sam Vincent and it wont work. That is why I just say let's move him. If we can get Minn's 1st for him, I'd jump on it.

At this point I don't see us paying $13 million for him either.
I wouldn't put it past Emeka to not sign anything this summer which would allow him to be an unrestricted free agent at the end of next season.

How come Othella Harrington, Othella F*cking Harrington, has 5 rebounds in 9 minutes, while Okafor and Nazr - Our starting "front court" have 5 boards combined in 35 minutes worth of work. WTF!
Pathetic. Okafor, you will be traded in the offseason. Give me I'll take Tyrus Thomas....at least he complains because he WANTS to play. I'd rather have that.
