Blazers will be without Roy, this is an advantage. They have lost almost all the hopes for playoffs, just like us. So we can win this game, but I won't be disappointed if we lose.
Go Bobcats..

It's kind of okay to not care if we win or lose at this point, but just sit back and watch this quicker team play.

If nothing else the highs and lows of Felton (LOOK UP!), Crash (NO!!! Oh Ok)and Okafor (HEAD FAKE! OR SOMETHING! K!?) are entertaining, for both good or bad - and JRich and Dudley are on a roll.

I'm REALLY liking the new defensive specialist, distributor Crash too. Just a little bit more selective on the shots and drives and I believe we have an excellent fit up.

I don't think we've played Nazr and Mek together at all for last 2 games, nor Felton and Boykins. Works for me.

Felts looking good scoring but needs to involve others.

EO50 also really looking good again

Ryan's playing pretty well too... right up until the point where he tries to put the ball in the hoop! Gotta love his tenacity, though. Same with The Dude, too!

LMA really is a very fluid offensive player.

So long as that idiot leaves him out there, we have to keep going to EO50 on offense.

He is white hot and working hard.

Amazing. Back to back games where Okafor starts playing like we know he can play. Why didn't you play like this all year? We would love to have paid you the $13 mil per yr and have you stay. Gee Whiz! Well, if you will play this way the rest of the season, maybe you and MJ can have a heart to heart and get things right again. But, you just cannot be disappearing for 3/4 of the season like this yr.

Overall, an avg game for most of our players, and we somehow are in the lead. If we can just have J-Rich and Crash get hot, and Ray and Okafor play like they are, we can win this baby for 3 road wins in a row!

We've gotta cut down on their offensive rebounds. They're getting two many 2nd chances.

It's good to see Emeka playing like a man again. I'm sure we'd all love to see him do this for 82+ games next season in a Bobcats uniform.

It's also worth noting that we've seen Sammy pleading his case with the refs this game. Good coaches get in the refs' ears without being overbearing. Too many times we've seen him go silent-and-sitting when the refs have been doing unspeakable acts to the Bobcats' collective posterior.

Crash is back in now. He hit his head on Mek's knee. He was then on the floor clutching his head, experiencing headaches. Team policy and good sense dictates he stay out of the game for 5 minutes and then be reevaluated. He was reevaluated and let back in the game.

and then Raymond said, "Gameover!"

Hit his head on Emeka's knee as both guys were falling to the floor sat down for a while but returned and he seems ok to me blocked a shot that led to us extending the lead.

Nice win.

Also, apparently winning three games in a row on the road is a new franchise record.

Nice game guys. All around, good things.

This is the way the games should go. Mek should be controlling at the beginning, while the shooters find their groove. Then JRich takes over at the end (with solid play from Raymond, of course).

And then I notice that Matt Carroll is our leading rebounder...
Good for Matt, I guess.

Great win! 3 in a row on the road matches our best road stretch! Great to see Okafor showing up again. J-Rich and Ray were terrific. Crash hung in there tonight and some good bench play.

Great job guys! Way to fight and hang in there and not "tank" like others do. Tied at 83 with 2:31 to go, and we outscored them 10-2 down the stretch. Just pray the BB Gods show us some love with the ping pong balls.

I'm enjoying all the fun Henry Williams is having with the Steve Martin crew.

Tonite Henry said something like this that caught me..

"I like Ryan Hollins; he's moving intentionally now."

I'm not sure what that means; but I bet there aren't too many NBA players get that kind of compliment. Ryan rocks the house.

Boy I'd sure like to see a little Davidson during this stretch. I think the kid is a good player. Raw, but good.

Ryan is showing me more then I thought I would ever see from him. He had one move, a turn around shot, that bounced in, and I thought I was going to yell in happiness. Jermareo is raw, like you said, but dude can score. Some serious work this summer should earn him a solid spot in the rotation. Work on toning his shot selection and he could be very lovely off the bench.

Nice win, though boxing out might have made it less stressful. Oh well, three games off the road at least we got what we got. We fought and won.

Gerald took some serious pounding tonight, a couple good shots to the head, but he isnt going to go out, and he was pretty crucial at the end.

Ray. What can you say? Guy has been clutch for us all season at the end of games. He really wants to lead this team. Good for him. I still would put the ball in Jrich's hands at the end of the game, but if ray can finish it, I dont have a problem.

Jrich played pretty well, he had one spin move toward the end of the game, good god!

Fun to watch. Nice W, lets ride this wave

If he could block out for a damn rebound then (in a realistic world under a competent coach) he'd get plenty of PT...obviously none of the guys we play understand the concept. It's amazing that we were able to pull out the win being outrebounded so badly.

But win we did! Felton was flat out amazing...driving, dishing, scoring. Not only is Mek playing for a contract, but our lil general is helping himself out as well.

Wow 3 games in a row on the road, awesome. I was checking the stats and if we could just get some offensive rebounds we would have tore them up last night. I didnt get to see the game because I had to do the relationship thing with my lady which I didnt mind. :D

Keep up the good work guys 5 more wins to tie last seasons record with 9 games left. Can we do it? Hummmmm I hope so. :g:

Dude, that's a great attitude. We're what, 5 games out of the 8 spot? Screw that, we're probably not gonna make it, so let's improve on our record from last year under a coach that's getting less out of our players!

p.s. - spending time with lady > spending time with the Bobcats (at this point in this season!

A crazy, bewildering, fun whirlwind weekend wraps up. My love of the NCAA tournament and Tar Heel basketball is not something I conceal, so the fact that this past weekend played out like it did would be incredible in and of itself, but add in to that the fact that my dad's old Army buddy (whose name I won't drop here, out of modesty and privacy) who is longstanding icon of the Philadelphia sportswriting and talk-radio scene was in town to cover the regionals in Charlotte. I can't even begin to explain the stories this guy has to tell, the people he's spoken with, the person he was talking to in the living room Friday night (!!!!) on his cell......just a trip!! (I think I now have more dirt on the AI-Larry Brown feud than any professed NBA analyst that's ever been employed at ESPN.)

Just a quickie: his forte is college basketball (covered every Final 4 since '92, but a handful before that), but even in Philly he was surprisingly well-versed in our Bobcats. Covering Penn State basketball, he told me he was able to talk to JRich individually a handful of times when Michigan St played Penn St, and he said he is as genuine and good-natured as he comes off on-camera. Like us, he thought it was a great draft day trade for us when it went down. He's a gamer who's purpose is to continue to improve and help his teams win games. Like everyone else, he loves Jared, and told me he was the steal of the draft. Matt Carroll is the man; he went to high school 5 minutes from where the guy lives, and he knew the family very well. He was closer to his brother, Pat, since he went to St. Joe's, but was very high on Matt and you could tell he was proud how hard the hometown Philly native worked to make it to where he is now. He was shocked at how little development Emeka has shown since UConn days, but he really thinks it has to do with such poor coaching since he's been here...but there's no coaching that can improve stone hands. He's still high on Raymond and says everyone should calm down (the family friend telling me this is not a native Philadelphian, obviously, which explains his even keel and patience with athletes) and realize how much better of a PG he really is compared to the majority of PGs out there. He absolutely loves Gerald and thinks he's one of the most freakish athletes in the league, and that he his actually a lot more well known around the country than I thought, which is a good thing; he deserves national recognition.

Well, due to sleep deprivation, he had to head off to sleep before the Sonics game was over, wishing them luck. At the time they were down by 1, and through persistence, they pulled it out and we won 2 in a row!

Saturday, through some miracle or another, he's able to get me and my dad seats in Sec. 103 for the game, while he's sitting on first row media table directly across for the Louisville bench. After some drama, and lots and lots of standing (no one sat down in the second half in the lower bowl that I know of), the Heels pull it out, and we get a really good view of the celebration and ritual net-cutting....that never gets old, even if it's not the final net-cutting. Anyhow, we hang around, and the friend comes out and gives us his pressbook with all kinds of awesomeness in it (if you're into sports collectible stuff that you can't just go out and buy), and tells me I'm two for two that night. I smile and ask him what he means, and he tells me the 'Cats just won their 3rd straight!!!

Me and dad didn't get home 'til 2am (which isn't all that late to me, but due to the craziness of the last few days, and lack of enough sleep) and we were worn slap-out, but damned if that wasn't the best weekend I've had in recent memory.

I finished watching the Blazers game a couple hours ago, and I was amazed at the team I saw out there in the 4th. Sure, Roy was out, but the Blazers were gunning hard for this game, trying to get a win, and we took their best shot, and with stellar defense, and Raymond, chanelling Hansbrough and March's past, put us on his back and we finish with an unexpected 3-1 road trip.

Wow, such a shame the players didn't have the coach they needed, cause I know this is a playoff team. We're every bit as good as Atlanta, and not far off from Toronto, Philly and Washington to boot. Oh well, some answers are starting to become clearer, and maybe with a change here and there, and a ping pong bounce here and there, next year will be what this year was supposed to have been!

That's a really cool story, man. Glad you enjoyed the game, and it's good to hear that Gerald's getting somewhat of his due in the eyes of the media even if no one's publishing anything about him.
