wow! what a jerk...he's definitely got an attitude and i can see why the players don't put up with him.

he just put down every player on the team with his little celtics comment just to make himself look better...

also, who said we cared about what other first year coaches have done, you get the job done or you don't...with the players he has, there is no reason why we shouldn't have made the playoffs in the east

his little sarcastic, "sorry we didn't make it. oops." at the end of the article really rubs me the wrong way too...very unprofessional and cocky...

I would not tell him to coach a woman's team. They have some great coaches there. I'd love to have Pat Summit as a head coach. Great stratagist and super motivator. But I doubt she'd take the pay cut. She's a Goddess in college basketball. I'd tell Sam to go coach in a church league where winning is not as important as "how you play the game" since you are not being paid.

Geez, if he's trying to state his case to remain coach next year, he's doing a horrible job if this interview is any indicator. Seriously, he did everything BUT take accountability for this season, instead giving a litany of excuses. Plus, the ass is so arrogant as to think the "progress" the team has made the last month has anything at all to do with him, when it has all to do with JRich, GW, and Raymond taking control of the team. Also, if he wants to take credit for the marked progress of the team, why doesn't he take blame for the 5 game losing streak that followed the 5 game winning streak, which included abyssmal losses to Memphis and Indiana?

If it wasn't already mandatory, it is after this: he must go!

The answer to that question is YES. He was the one that was talking about getting home court advantage for the 1st round of the playoffs. That usually takes about 50 wins.

No. I think from what Bob Johnson said, and MJ said, that they are going to allow him to finish his Contract. If he makes the Playoffs next yr, they will renew his Contract. If we miss the Playoffs next yr, he will not be renewed. It is the graceful way to go out and MJ is going to allow that, I think. Just from the talk today.

Hes gone he knows it M.J knows it and Bob Johnson knows it. Bob and M.J was just trying to let him go in a profesional way after seasons end .By saying somthing like they leting him persue other things. And not drag the dirt of all the crap that has happened this year.
But Vincent the stupid ass he is hasn't got enough sence to let it go. Talking like he did in that article might just screw him up from coaching any where .Im sure M.J and Bob has the power to screw him up from coaching for life.
After reading that im convinced he had Felton ,Okafor, Rich and Wallace all pissed at him this year. We have all talked about the lack of play from our players ,in reality we have no idea how much talent we really have due to this stupid coach .
Bernie had thirty three wins with out a J.Rich last year . If he was coach again this year im sure we would have passed the thirty three win mark.And BIRNIE WASN'T THE BRIGHTEST OF COACHES?

I agree, CM. That interview sounded like someone who knows his days are up; he gives the appearance of a wounded, cornered animal making a last stand. Even if MJ hasn't made up his mind about him, it seems that "coach" is operating under the assumption he's gone, despite his words to the contrary, and that's why he's flaunting the pride and arrogance even more, figuring he has nothing to lose.

And DNB, I laughed out loud when I read the Shakespeare reference! Good show! :biggrin:
