This season's last road game is against New Jersey Nets, which also haven't made it to the playoffs. Both teams know where they will finish the season almost exactly. The only thing I expect to see is a decent effort on the court, hopefully resulting in a convincing win.
7.30 ET, IZOD Center
Bobcats Pos. Nets
Raymond Felton G Devin Harris
Matt Carroll G Vince Carter
J. Richardson F Richard Jefferson
Jared Dudley F Nenad Krstic
Emeka Okafor C DeSagana Diop
Go Bobcats!

Richard Jefferson is reason enough for our guys to play hard this game and pull out a win.

Felts looking focused again and looking to get everyone involved.

I think the Nets have to be the official mailing it in all stars. Why they weren't better over the last 4-5 years I will never know. TWC is not my friend right now so I'm not watching the game. I'm not calling either, I'm just dumping this USED box at their place tomorrow. Not happy.

What is interesting is that if we win, we have the same record as Chicago. We host Philly tomorrow and Chicago hosts Toronto. I'd imagine both Philly and Toronto will rest some guys for the Playoffs. If we both win or lose, we have the 8th pick and Chicago is 9th. If we win and Chicago loses, we have the 9th and they have the 8th.
Ethics.

wow they are killing on raymond... just as I said earlier, he is trying to do way too much. He isnt as good as he thinks he is I guess. He didnt pass the past two possessions.
My offseason dream: Trade! Trade! Trade!
by the way have you guys noticed the the body language of the players towards Vincent in this game? It's so obvious that they don't care a lick about what the man has to say.
EO50 with 8 fga's for the game.

I thought the same thing. There was a time out that Swish went to Mo instead of Buzz and completley blew Buzz off.
How the HELL was that NOT an offensive foul on dick head?
Felton has been so bad this second half.
Was Hammer jawing at Felts and not happy with him walking to that time out?

What I wouldn't give right now for a hard foul on Richard Jefferson.
Wheres Charles Oakley when you need him?
Oh sigh, I don't even want to see anymore of this garbage.
I hope EO50 checks back in for the OT and goes all Hulkamania on the Nets.
33 points in the second half
We had 33 points in the first quarter alone.

I'd knock the little puke into 2012

Ray is not making good decisions. He needs to drive, penetrate and kick out to the open man. Quit bricking it Ray!
Oh sigh, I don't even want to see anymore of this garbage.
-------------------------
I sort of feel the same. I'm just hoping we will play like we did in the 1st half and not the 2nd....................and that EO50 kicks Dick Head in the junk - or vagina - or what ever it is the little turd has.
That three on one break should have gone to Swish for the flush.
Wasn't that double dribble? Harris picked up his dribble and then dropped the ball and picked it up again?

goddamnit
Why the Hell does Vincent ALWAYS walk to that spot on the court when he calls a time out?
Fuck me. I fucking hate the Nets.
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

If somebody had stepped up and given some kind of retaliation against Jefferson, this loss could have almost been tolerable... but we didn't even get that.
Pathetic. I'm almost regretting buying tickets for the game tomorrow night after watching this dreadful performance.

We had a 20pt lead in 2nd qtr, and led by 17 at the half. We were shooting almost 56% late in 2nd qtr, and finished game around 43%. We just went cold.
Great games from J-Rich and Nazr. Why didn't Okafor shoot the ball? Ray, too many TO's at the wrong times and your FG% sucks. Work on that this off season if you are going to be our starting PG, OK?

so I see marcus williams got 3 minutes, made his one shot, and got two assists... did he do anything wrong to warrant him being only played 3 minutes?
Sean Williams didnt play. We could def pull Felton for those two+ one of their draft picks

This night was one of the worst sports nights for me in recent memory. Two games going on concurrently:
1. The Astros (my team) vs. the Phillies
2. The Cats vs. the Nets
The Astros game starts a half hour earlier than the Cats, so I figure I'll just tape the Cats and watch bits of it in between innings. Things couldnt've started out better. Astros up 1-0 through 4, with Shawn Chacon pitching the game of his life; the Cats up by 15 after one. Nice.
Moving along this tragic tale full of sound and fury signifying incompetence, I watch the Cats take a 17 point lead into the 2nd half, and am thinking 'Wow. Not only have we outplayed them, we've outclassed them. Way to go.' Meanwhile, Chacon continues to befuddle the Philles leading the Astros to a 3-0 lead going into the 8th. Because of the large halftime lead, and because of the great game the 'Stros have put together, I neglect to keep up with the Cats game, and stick with the Stros since it's closer to being over. Chacon continues his masterpiece through the 8th inning with a pitch count of 105. So what does manager Cecil Cooper do? Why he brings in Jose Fuckin' Valverde, the "closer" who has a 7 something ERA with one blown save in 2 chances.
Due to his ineffectiveness, I'm nervous before he even takes the mound. First pitch: fastball drilled well over right field fence. 3-1
Next bater: HBP
Next batter: Somehow Valverde Ks Ryan Howard!?!?! Maybe this is the turnaround!!
Next batter: First pitch fastball taken for strike. Second pitch fastball drilled over the left center fence. 3-3 You fucking tool Valverde. Okay Cooper, let's yank his ass from the game and put in Brocail or anybody in the BP. Right? 'Fuck no, I'm the boss around here, and I'm going to keep my closer in the game. So what if it's not even a closing situation any more?'
Next batter: Ks him, but the pitch had so much tailing action, it gets by the catcher, and the batter makes it to first without a throw.
Next batter: Fastball is hammered down the left field line, runner from 1st scores. 4-3 FINAL Phillies win.
There's nothing in sports quite like a blown save (and being an Astros fan, I'm on a first-name basis with blown saves). It really just sucks the life out of you. You spew expletives by the dozens; get tempted to throw things and hit things that are in your immediate vicinity (and sometimes we succumb to these temptations); but after all that, there is this sickening feeling, like depression, and there's this obsession trying to figure out what went wrong, why it went wrong, why me?
Well, after I get over the anger portion of a blown save, vent to the right people, I remember that there is a Cats game, but assume it's over by now. Turn it to FSN and find out we're down by 4 in OT. I'm still so numb from the Astros game, I just sort of chuckle and mutter under my breath "I fucking hate sports." I watch a pair of 3s go in for the Nets and know this game's over too, and I thank God that tomorrow night is it for the Bobcats for a few months. I only wish we could find a way to end the baseball season too. All I know is, I can't take many more nights like this...

A meaningless win has turned to a meaningless loss, according to AP report. But a win is never meaningless.
Extremely pathetic but we've seen a lot of these losses this season. This season was actually pathetic itself. Yes, we're almost at the same record with last year's, but things didn't worked in the way we all expected.
