So.... anyone see/hear Nelly making threats to the fans on of all days "Fan Appreciation Night"? I suppose it was a promotion to say we should appreciate a backwards ass ownership group and f*cked coach? Alrighty.... :afro:

He was on 96.1 "The Beat" radio today and they showed the interview on Charlotte's Fox News and on "The Edge" show tonight. Basically he was saying that the young people of the city were going to be upset at their parents if they let the team leave? And that sometimes you don't know what you got till it's gone and that there are plenty of other places out there that would love to have the team (including his hometown Louisville)....

Just more threats from the ownership IMO.... and really they are the ones who need to be threatened.. just another bonehead move from this group. This ideal they are throwing around of late is gonna backlash IMO.

Nelly's right. Its time for Charlotte to grow up and act like a real city for a change. The minute the Bobcats leave town everyone will get all nostalgic and gushy like they do for the Hornets now. But when the Hornets were here their last 2-3 years we couldnt get 15,000 in Charlotte Coliseum. The ownership isnt goin anywhere, the Bobcats arent going anywhere, its time to accept that fact or root for another team.

Billionaire or not, noone is going to keep shelling out money on a team that's not making a profit. Nellie was speaking the truth. I live in Virginia Beach Va. We haven't had a basketball team sice the Virginia Squires was here. We would love to have the Bobcats. :)

As I posted in another thread.. The city of Charlotte hung tight *leading the league in attendance) for a long time while the Hornets grew and became successful then the owners shipped off our players *while refusing to replace the talent* and shipped out the team.

Say what you will this group of owners should have seen that coming in.... I think all that needs to heal all is to make this a competitive team that is in the playoffs. Then all will be fine. But to start making threats at this point isn't going to go over well... Just my opinion.

Our owners just need to shut the hell up and do their job. Every time they say something in public it's a disaster.

This is the point spoiled Charlotteans keep missing. There are plenty of areas/small cities in the USA who would LOVE to have an NBA team. Look at the Seattle situation going on right now. Fans stopped going to the games and took the team for granted thinking they werent going anywhere. Now that they are about to lose the franchise, they're pissing and moaning and doing everything to try and keep them. But its too late now. The people of OK City are dying to get the Sonics and will sellout the games easy (it'll be the only show in town). People need to show more love to our local teams and stop griping over every lil thing.

I think the people of Charlotte will come around, when the organization show them that they mean business, and get an experience coach for the team.

Top Bob is way ot cheap to leave anytime soon. If he leaves anytime before like 2020 he has to pay an enormous amount of money- just don't see it happening.

Winning is the cure all for this situation. We start winning, people will come to the games, and the nay sayers get close mkouthed about it and everyone is happy.

the crowd was pretty good last night. 3 dollar beers probably helped that.
