I'll sticky this thread for the remainder of the playoffs
I'm really looking forward to the Cavs / Wizards series. The Wizards have been talking major trash to LBJ and this is their opportunity to prove that they can back it up.
Also this is a chance for Hibachi to redeem himself after choking on the free throw line after allowing Lebron's whisper to get to him.
What I'm not looking forward to is the (admittedly slim) possibility that the Hornets go deep into the playoffs or Lord forbid win it all. If I have to see George Shinn lift the championship trophy then I may give up basketball completely.

WooooOOO!!! I kinda miss hearing that at the games. Paul was unbelievable again yesterday and showed all the people who haven't been watching him why he should be MVP and why they can get past the Mavs. Inexperienced my ass. The Hornets are legit. I for one am pulling for them. I don't hold any animosity towards the team and believe it or not I've seen and read enough about the good things Shinn is doing in NO to actually believe that he's not as evil all the time as most Charlotteans like to believe. That being said I think they'll lose to the Lakers if they face them in the WCF. I can see them getting passed the winner of the Suns/Spurs as they handled both teams very well during the regular season.
Great games all around though. I ordered some wings, made some steaks for dinner, watched a quadruple header and didn't leave the couch all day. It was glorious. :D

Right off the bat, I'm watching the Cavs-Wizards game and realizing that this is why I love the NBA.
They were at each others throats even before the first half was over. Great passion.
Is LeBron a freak or what?
...and Jamison played very well. He's a good guy. I especially liked how he ran to protect Haywood when it looked like Ilgauskas might go all Lithuanian on him.
Imagine how cool it would be to be rooting for the Bobcats right now.

 Oh, that was so much fun!!! Watching Mrs. McGrady and his Rockettes go down 0-2 against Utah!!! Couldn't happen to a nicer guy ::)
Seriously, after his whining in both games vs. the Cats this year, he's by far my new least-favorite....though Timmy Duncan and Kobe are, as always, in contention for cry-baby of the year.

Yep it's been great to watch Horford and Smith have impressed the hell out of me.

I love Joe Johnson more than I ever have before.
If that is even humanly possible.

That crossover he used on Posey before he hit that fallaway jumper was a thing of beauty.

That little low down dribble where he split the two defenders and then hit the one handed tear drop was sweet too.
The kid just has SO many tools - it's amazing.
Side note: Josh Smith will really be something..........................if he ever learns what the difference is between good shot selection and really bad shot selection.
Man that kid takes some bad shots. He almost killed the Hawks mo on several occasions. Just as well for him that he was AMAZING on D last night.

the thought stings. real bad :(
The Suns window for winning a championship with Nash and crew just ended tonight with that loss. Too bad, I really thought they were gonna get one.

Yep Smith has me jealous seeing his sick blocking during that series knowing what Crash could be doing in the playoffs if we were in.
Do you all think McGrady and the Rockets will be able to get over the hump tonight and keep the series alive? I don't sadly but would love to see it.

You know we'd have been able to give them the same troubles as Atlanta. (given a coaching change). We'll get them next year.
I'm rooting for the Hawks in this one. We could be witnessing the greatest upset in NBA history if they win that game 7, sadly however I don't think they have a chance in Boston. As a young team they feed off of that awesome atmosphere they've had in the playoffs at home and when they go on the road and get booed it doesn't help their fragile confidence.

When is it ever a good idea to try to dunk a basketball... Through a ring of FIRE!

Despite that craziness, The Hornets managed to beat the Spurs in game 1. It pains me to say this, But the Hornets are looking scary in this postseason.

Yeah people underestimated them all year but they didn't finish 2nd in the West on a fluke. They held the #1 spot the majority of the year and had a great record against the top teams. I don't know why anyone would think they'd just fade in the playoffs, especially with a guy like Paul directing the team.
I'm hoping they can finish the Spurs off in about 6.

I see the Spurs winning at home but they wont win the series because they don't have an answer for CP3 I watched them put there best defender on him (Bowen) for most of the game and he still dropped 30 points on them.

Yeah but it's more than just Paul. They have no one who can guard West or Peja either and on the other end the Hornets are showing just how shitty the Suns defense is by not allowing Parker and Manu to just waltz down the lane at will. They are playing great defense overall on the big three and it's exposing just how weak the rest of the Spurs team is.
I'm really curious to see how the Hornets will play in San Antonio. These next two games are must wins for the Spurs.
