I picked this up off a Golden State board about Okafors value. G/S has some good fans. I all so asked them of thair thoughts of the Larry Brown signing. Okafor might have more value than i thought.

GOOD READ,

Cool find Dav. I'm impressed with how highly they regard Oak. I mean, I like him and hope he resigns with us, but maybe we could still get a whole lot for him out of a s&t. Who knows? We'll see how things go with Larry this offseason.

A quote from the GSW board that I really dig

How about we get J rich back, I miss him on our team. He and Pietrus would be so hard to beat. Not a chance, sucka! (Note: Dav chopped that proposal down too. Good looking out.)

Back to the Oak discussion, the proposal on the RealGM board is Al Harrington + 1st round pick + ?? = Okafor

Who do you like for the ???
We could fix the error of not signing CJ last year and get him in a trade. We could get POB. I know a lot of folks here are high on him. Plus we'd have two picks.

The interesting thing is they don't value him as much as he values himself from a MONETARY standpoint, if you read the entire thread. But they value him in trades terms b/c of their desperation for a big guy.

Good observation. I'm not sold on the idea that he didn't take the offer because he thinks he should be paid more than that much. I think he didn't take the offer because he wasn't sure he belonged in Charlotte for any longer than he is currently slated to be. So, I don't know if I can say, necessarily, how he values himself monetarily. Still, they want a big man, and if nothing else, Mek is that. Hence, we might be able to get a good trade out of it so long as Mullin and the fans are of like minds.

Glad to see that he is valued elsewhere. I agree with the one poster that said he'd get 8 or 9 mil per. I'd rather go after somebody else if we are going to spend more than that though.

Jmart good to see ya.

I agree with you Muttley. Okafor never really said anything about money. Just that he wanted to wait it out, play his best this year and see whats on his menu.

I would gladly pay 8-9 million for a well coached Okafor.
