With all the take about the Mavs, Suns, and Bulls, what players do you see them looking to trade or cut loose and our options for some of them?
Mavs
Howard for his remarks about weed smoking
George
Stackhouse
Jones

The only one from them I would want probably won't be available, B Bass

Suns
Raja Bell
Boris Diaw

Both of them would fit with us for backup spots but Morrison would have to be moved. It would be a upgrade at some spots for us.

Bulls
T Thomas
Chris Duhon
Ben Gordon

Ben Gordon would provide us with some scoring, Thomas some athleticism at the 4 and Duhon backup at point that would push Felts.

Mavs:
Bass is a good call, but you're probably right in thinking that we can't get him.

Suns:
We need a solid 4 so badly, and it may be worth moving someone like Adam to get one. I don't see us getting any immediate help at that spot from the draft unless we win it. It's all about 5/20.

Bulls:
I don't think we need Gordon, but the other two are intriguing. I used to be very pro-Duhon, but now I'm a little worried about him after hearing some rumors in one of the other threads (the "Offseason Rumors" thread). TT has always struck me as a bit of a punk, but a guy can go through a lot of maturation in the couple years after leaving college.

I have changed my mind on Duhon after going to the realgm website and seeing his party pictures. He is a real party animal.
Do anyone think that the Nuggets will be getting rid of Carmelo? What about a run for Melo for Ammo and Wallace and pick. Maybe let them throw in JR or a serviceable backup.

Now that's a player worth going after! I don't care if people like him or not, if you get a player like Carmelo Anthony on your roster you're pretty much guaranteed to be in the playoffs.

There is no way the Nuggets get rid of Carmelo Anthony this year. Yes the Nuggets should have done better and there were some times when Carmelo was a bit immature and stupid but his talent far exceeds any issues the Nuggets have with his personality. Part of the problem with the Nuggets is they were loaded with too many Chiefs and not enough Indians.

The players of that team really didn't respect George Karl as much as they should have. George is responsible for not getting the players on the same page and buying into his system of play as a team. When ego's get in the way it is hard to rise above and perform up to standards. With that said the West was an unusually tough conference this year. When a team like the Mavericks wins 50 games and still winds up an 8th seed that is almost unheard of. It was a strange year.

A lot of good to great players may be available from the West and that really is more a product of a strange year then failures of all of those players. That said, don't expect Carmelo as an available piece to our puzzle.

Still, the coaches will take the rap before the talented top rated players will.

With all that you just said wouldn't you like to shake up your team and get some team players instead of ones that won't listen. Sure it's a long shot but you take Melo out and put Wallace in, someone with no ego just wants to play, then add a shooter and a pick. That would be a big step for us. Then we would have that superstar to draw in the fans and that star power to elevate us into the playoffs. Every so often players want to leave the west coast and come where they can run wild. Could you imagine a lineup

Felts
J rich
Melo
F A or Okafor
Okafor or F A

Playoffs anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if we stick with our current line-up i see no problem for us getting to the playoffs. we still have some thing to do before we could really make some noise when we get there.

Man it says Primoz "Gangster" Brezec on under my name.

I hate Primoz.

I really need to post some dumb posts just so I can get that name off the screen.

This will do.

I broke this thread in a couple of days ago and wow look at the breaking news. With Denver wanting some cap space relief from the trade they wouldn't be wanting much back. If we gave them Wallace a player that i like but this is about winning and some picks they might go for it. If not let that be the starting point of the trade and see what players they would want. Why give up felts when we won't have a pick for a pg? They don't need Okafor seeing that they are loaded already at pf and c. Maybe they would want Carrol or Morrison but if we gave up one of them we should try for Diawara in return. At first I said JR Smith but his price tag would be to high and Diawara's would have lesser numbers against the cap.
