well, sorta.....I feel like we have two teams of our own....the bobcats and, the hornets! If you live in CLT and were a CHARLOTTE Hornets fan please support CP3 and the gang! They are dominating!!!

Sorry Ammofan, I can't do it. I am still bitter and I have nothing but ill will towards George Shinn. The hornets for me are like a hot ex girlfriend that cheated on you. They are now just another team for me. There is no LJ, or Zo, Tripucka's awful hair, or Rex Chapmans ill advised running fade away 3 pointers in New Orleans for me. I think CP3 is a great player and all (and I'm sure everyone thinks of the trade that wasn't), but I have moved on.

I gotta side with Reesie on this one. I can't do it, and I despise the Spurs. CP3 punched a guy in the balls during a game. That's low. I can't support him or the Hornets.

You're way wrong on this one ammofan. I'm watching that series simply to get the pleasure of watching some great basketball but i could care less if the Hornets or the Spurs advance. The Hornets are just another team in the NBA now to me. There's no way this city should be rooting for them in any way shape or form.

I can't stomach the thought of George Shinn grinning while standing next to the championship trophy. I just can't.

Sickens me to think of it.....To hell with "Shin"ster and his Hornets, I even threw away all my old gear.... All I can think of is "We got a real coach!" and "I can smell the playoffs finally for the Bobcats".

I really don't like the Hornets anymore. I loved them when they were here. Byron Scott is a good coach but they have some of my most hated players. Chris Paul is an awesome player great talent and driven with the best of them, but he's a douche and he looks like he's 11 and like Muttley said, he punched a guy in the balls during a game. David West is a nice story but he's got an attitude. Ty Chandler is pretty talented but come on, he's and Curry when they came in to Chicago (worst 2 first rounders taken by a single team in NBA history) had this chip on their shoulders and seemed like they felt entitled to be in the NBA and get calls and have games handed to them. It pisses me off they have the Ric Flair Whoooo and Hugo, Super Hugo(anyone see them not able to get the ring of fire out?) and the name Hornets. At least they have gotten away from the old teal and purple. I wish they had gone to Oklahoma City so I wouldnt feel bad about rooting against something good to happen for New Orleans. I haven't even mentioned Mr. "I'll hold the city hostage" he's a slime ball, probably a great guy if you meet him but he's an unscrupulous business man who didn't feel bad at all demanding things of the tax payers and pissing off an entire metro-area and fan base in the process. Screw Em!

We should be doing that since Ric Flair is from Charlotte. But anyway I have to be on everyones side about this, The "New Orleans" Hornets are just a team that I pretend that doesn't exist.

Yeah, I've pulled against Charlotte since they left; I loved it when the got busted in the 1st round against Miami their first year in NO. I loved it when they moved west and figured they wouldn't see the playoffs in the next 10 or so years....and for a while it looked that way. Seeing the success they've had this year, and the attendance rising because of the playoffs has been a real kick to the man-region for me. Like Muttley, I can't stand the Spurs and am still hoping they can find a way to pull out the series over NO.

I understand part of life is having a second chance, and maybe you can put the "Honey Bee incident" away for good, forgive and forget, but what he pulled over on the city of Charlotte and Hornets fans in the Carolinas.....any success he has just proves there's no justice in the world.

I pulled for the Hornets for the most part from the inaugural season as a wee chap, but I was a Hawks fan up 'til they traded Nique in '94. I was a true Hornets fan when they got rid of LJ and Zo in '96, so I was a latecomer so to speak, but I still have good memories of some of those teams, especially the '01 guys who blitzed the Heat in round 1, and went 7 games against Milwaukee in the 2nd round. But that was the Charlotte Hornets....

But that was the Charlotte Hornets....I am not one to argue with you guys about how Shinn did your city and region but at the same their is an argument that can be made in George Shinns favor. He pushed real hard to get the NBA in the Carolinas and got the region involved in supporting an expansion team. In all reality without him you may not be talking about Larry Brown or NBA basketball in Charlotte. I am not saying that he is some Demi God but give him credit where credit is due and hate him after that. He is both founding father of NBA in Charlotte and a big greedy a hole who stole it all away.

Myself, I still support the Hornets. I don't do so because of George Shinn but because of a part of the country they represent that deserves a championionship even without hurricane Katrina having happened. Screw Shinn, Louisianans and especially NO, deserve a champion.
