I was reviewing Bill Simmons' links from last week because I was exceptionally bored, that's the only reason to read Bill Simmons anymore, because you are bored. Anyway, go to the link to the Washington Times article about the Deshawn Stevenson/Lebron James feud: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/04/26/AR2008042602240.html
Pretty funny, as Mike Wise seems like the whitest white guy that ever was white and he's breaking down a rap/basketball feud. Then I got to this part:
Now that you have created a Tupac-Biggie war in the NBA playoffs, fusing pro basketball and the hip-hop entertainment world like only Bob Johnson wishes he could have done, do you regret what you said about LeBron?
What is he talking about? Bob Johnson wishing he could fuse basketball and hip-hop? Are all the racists that hate the Bobcats right? Just random as hell to read this in a seemingly innocuous piece and I flatly just don't get it. Thoughts?

remember what bob johnson did to make his money, BET, and where he is from, Washington DC. This has 0 to do with the bobcats. Basketball and Hip-hop culture are two aspects of where his fortune has come from.

at first i was skeptical with nelly becoming a minority owner in the beginning and all, but then i realized that big bob just did that to gain us some media attention, which worked for a short time
nelly in fact does nothing with the franchise i believe ...which is good because he's a horrible rapper, i can only imagine how shitty of a decision maker he would be...it would be getting hot in herrrrre in regards to the management hot seat...god that sounded way less lamer in my head
i was still a little sketchy with him not spending any money whatsoever, but last year he finally solidified me that he isn't using this franchise to promote BET or anything, as it has been proven he has lost money, and i really don't see much hip-hop advertising with the franchise, other than the usual music (i hate soulja boy btw) that is played during the games throughout the NBA
and maybe all the people who think this is a "black only" franchise can finally shut their mouths since we just hired larry brown

You're right, what time did I post that? No sense at all. I saw Bob Johnson's name....no more gin and posting.
