most ignored thing by you all. Draft junkies, who do you go with? I love Bill Walker and if he is available I would snatch him up asap. With some work, he could be a stud. Biggest steal of the draft. If he is not, then I go with JR Giddens, he could be a very solid backup pg with some work.

There is a lot of confusion out there regarding our 2nd. Some sites say we gave it up for the Rush trade, but other sites say it is the 2009 2nd we gave up. Assuming we have it, Walker would be great.

But that is what I am saying. Some sites say it is 2008 2nd, and some are saying 2009
2nd. Very reputable sites are saying each, so I dont know. Maybe they had to opt for 2008 one by a certain date or it became 2009, I dont know.

we do have the pick.
Depends on what we do with our 1st pick. If we go big with that, I'd like to look at Weaver in the 2nd round.
If we go small with the pick, I'd like to look at DeVon Hardin in the 2nd round.

not that the past will predict the future, but how many really good centers come out of the draft in the second round versus very good guards. I would look for underrated guards whos game will thrive in the NBA. Athleticism and a nice stroke, coupled with a desire to be the best ever, and a second round surprise can be born. A talented big is rare and easy to spot, so less come from the later picks, they are more the "worker" types a la mikki moore
I'm not looking for a starting big man in the 2nd round though - a role playing big would suffice: especially one with a different skill set to the ones we currently have on the roster.
That's why I'd be looking for a banging/grunt type like Hardin or Dorsey.

I agree it depends on what we do at #9. Here is my wish list in order, depending on what happens at #9
If we go Big at #9, then with #38 I want:
a. Brandon Rush - if by chance he falls that far.
b.Kyle Weaver - fairly good chance he'll be there
c.Courtney Lee - he'll be there
If we go Small at #9, then with #38 I want:
a.Nathan Jawai - his stock is going up, so likely gone in late 1st.
b.Nikola Pekovic - I miss our former greatest player ever, and this gent from Montenegro is someone to watch.
c. John Riek - he's moving back up the Boards, so Scouts must like what they are seeing.
d.DeVon Hardin

we should look at deron washington from vtech. May be high for him, and maybe we just trade cash for draft rights in the late second, but deron is a ridiculous athlete who can play pretty legit d.
