Initital thoughts:
- Rose is shorter than most thought
- Mayo is 6' 4 1/2" with a suprisingly good vert (41")
- Randolph is 6' 10 1/4"
- Dorsey is very undersized at 6' 7 1/4"
- Hardin is a beast

Cool stuff.....but what's with the "with shoes" and "without shoes" LOL I mean it looks like there's always an inch difference anyway.
Maybe the WNBA combine should do a "in heels" and "not in heels" ya think?
I agree Keetch. I've always thought the "without shoes" is a stupid measurement.
How many guys play in the NBA without shoes on?
The "with shoes" height is the only one that matters - but with that said, standing reach can be more important (look at gorilla arms Elton Brand for eg)

I have to say I liked what I saw on Gordon and Mayo. But DeAndre Jordan, lifting the bar only 8x. That's less than the little PG's! This guy is weak as a popcorn fart! He'll get killed in the paint! Damn, Superman from Orlando would only have to slightly bump him and the kid would wind up in the 3rd row! Pass!!!!!!!!!!!!

With only a 30.5 inch vertical and 8 reps on the bench, DeAndre Jordan isn't looking very Dwight Howard-like.
I love seeing that 42 inch vertical on Mayo, WOW!

I remember last year when Durant couldn't lift the bar at all....
...agreed Gordon is more athletic than I realized....he doesn't really look it?

Love's results were lot better than I would have expected. What really surprised me was that Love's vertical was 35 inches and Jordan's was only 30.5 inches.

It seems Love is surprising everyone everyday. Unfortunately he is SO GONE by the 9th pick now. :P
Jeez like one month ago nobody had him in the lottery.

Alexander is a BEAST 24 reps on the bench press, Exellent 3/4 court and lane agility, Great vertical leeping ability.
Felton
J-Rich
Wallace
Alexander
Mek
Not saying he should start but this lineup would be hard for a lot of teams to match up with in terms of getting up and down the floor. If we wanted to keep playing wallace at the 4 splitting time with alexander would reduce a lot of the wear on his body and having alexander to fill in if walllace gets hurt would be nice.

Anyone have a listing of how Love is measuring out like his height, weight, vertical, WINGSPAN, etc.? I'm especially curious about the Wingspan measurement for him. Thanks.

I have to admit I am warming towards Alexander. I had thought he would be limited to SF, but the weight he put on and his skills show he can play some PF. And his body could add another 15-20 pounds, so he can play the PFposition. If no one slips to us like Love, Randolph, Westbrook, Gordon, etc... he may be a viable option. Charlotte ought to at least bring him in for a workout to get a good look at whether he can start at the PF if we drafted him.

Oops...too early in the day; I saw Alexander but registered Arthur!
Ohara, seen SAS's new mock? He has both Gordon and Bayless falling to us and we choose Bayless.
1. Chicago Bulls (http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/teams/bulls/index.html). Derrick Rose, Memphis. Expect the Grizzlies to offer Rudy Gay, Mike Conley, Hakim Warrick and the No. 5 pick for the No. 1 pick and Andres Nocioni. The Bulls will end up keeping the pick.
2. Miami Heat (http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/teams/heat/index.html). Michael Beasley, Kansas State. It'd be surprising to see Beasley ultimately end up in Miami. He's too flaky for South Beach (http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=417259). While the latest internet talk has Riley dealing Dwyane Wade for the No. 1 pick, look for Riley to bring in a big-time veteran as he also pursues O.J. Mayo.
3. Minnesota Timberwolves (http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/teams/timberwolves/index.html). Kevin Love, UCLA. Kevin McHale loves Love's basketball skill and acumen. And McHale may be right that Al Jefferson really is a center.
4. Seattle SuperSonics (http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/teams/supersonics/index.html). O.J. Mayo, USC. As the Sonics angle for Oklahoma City, you can see them trying to add Beasley to pair with Kevin Durant via some sort of swap involving the No. 2 pick. But the Sonics don't have much to offer.
5. Memphis Grizzlies (http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/teams/grizzlies/index.html). Brook Lopez, Stanford. The Grizzlies like Love more, but they'll need to start building something at some point. With an excess of point guards, look for them to try to deal, though word around the NBA is that owner Michael Heisley says he'll break even or make a profit by keeping salaries low with young players.
6. New York Knicks (http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/teams/knicks/index.html). D.J. Augustin. Texas. Many believe No. 6 is too high to take Augustin, but new Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni's system doesn't work without a point guard. Team president Donnie Walsh, when he was with Pacers, passed on Tim Hardaway in 1989 because taking him at No. 7 would have been "too high" and he selected George McCloud instead. He won't make that mistake again.
7. Los Angeles Clippers (http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/teams/clippers/index.html). Russell Westbrook, UCLA. The local guy played some point in college and is an impressive athlete. With no obvious pick here and a need for guards, why not?
8. Milwaukee Bucks (http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/teams/bucks/index.html). Joe Alexander, West Virginia. The Bucks are one of several lottery teams that want to package their pick in a trade, but most won't get any takers. New coach Scott Skiles likes Scott Skiles-type of hustlers and overachievers. Alexander is coachable and athletic and fits the new profile.
9. Charlotte Bobcats (http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/teams/bobcats/index.html). Jerryd Bayless, Arizona. Between Larry Brown and Michael Jordan, the Bobcats will debate ten different choices and trades. Bayless has been projected as high as No. 4, and though the Bobcats don't need more shooting guards, they'll draft for talent, then look for deals.

That's probably true, but you never know. With all of the guards available, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Randolph and one of the other bigs go before Love, and then he lands in our lap.
It'll be a fun draft to watch.

CANTON Your 401(k) is taking a beating. The NASDAQ is down. But Kosta Koufos' stock is up with fewer than three weeks before the NBA Draft market closes.
Where will the former GlenOak High School and Ohio State star be drafted June 26? A better question is: Where is Koufos?
The 7-foot-1 1\/2 center is lighting up individual workouts and fighting jet lag during a whirlwind trip through NBA cities. His most recent stop in Seattle included work against UCLA's Kevin Love, and word is Koufos left the Emerald City having bested the Bruins star in one-on-one drills.
~snip~
Lopez is doing limited individual workouts as he is expected to be a top-five pick and is the top-ranked big man. It appears Koufos is trying to pass Love, and he may be doing so.

My gosh, if Bayless fell to us at #9, I'd likely crap my drawers! I'd grab him and run! Kid is going to be very special. Make a deal with someone to get the PF we need, but you dont pass on Bayless if he falls to #9.
I'd be amazed if Bayless fell that low - but if he did I would snap him up and then sell him to the highest bidder - and I'm guessing there would be a lot of teams willing to give up a lot to get him (Portland and Sac Town spring to mind).
I don't know how Bayless would fit in with us.

No. I'd keep Bayless. He's going to be very special. It would be so long Ray to the highest bidder. Bayless has a much higher ceiling than Ray, and will be just as good as Ray by the end of his Rookie yr, and much better afterwards. If I did give up Bayless after drafting him, then Portland would have to give me nothing less than LMA. I'd keep Ray at PG if we somehow got LMA out of Portland, but nothing of lesser quality.
Bayless is a shoot 1st combo guard.
I prefer a pass 1st point guard - especially if we have scoring wings like Swish and Crash.
You think that EO50 is phased out of the offense with the current roster? It would be worse with the PG like Bayless running the show.
ohara831

I think he was shoot first in his Rookie yr at AZ only because they did not have the talent pool of their recent past, and Lute Olsen was not coaching last yr. When you give Bayless a more productive unit with which to work, he will be passing much more. He will be just fine with getting his high number of assists. But his scoring potential blows Ray out of the water. That is why, barring getting someone like LMA for him, I'd keep Bayless and send Ray out in a package. But again, that is just my opinion of Bayless. I know there are many Ray supporters who will argue strongly that Ray should have the position whether we had a shot at Rose or Bayless as a PG draftee. I think Ray is a good avg PG in the NBA, but he'll never be CP3 or Deron quality. I think Bayless has that potential.

If both did fall would we take Bayless over Gordon?
This upcoming season I wouldn't trade Felton if we got one of the above because we need another perimeter guard...but if they DO break out then having additional assets is always a good thing. If they both are shoot first then no problems; they still get 25-30 minutes covering the 2 and the 1.

AGREE!!
I don't think many people would argue that Felton will certainly play better next season, even if not meeting expectations for our starting pg. (Most of his critics don't think he could play much worse, right?) That being said, his value will be more next season rather than now, where many teams are wondering if he can be a true pg or not. Even if he proves to be more of a combo guard, I think Brown will make him much better.
Let's wait and see. We could always use him as a sign and trade then.

For lack of a better place.
Snatched this off the Bucks' board on RealGM...no link:
According to several league sources, Danilo Gallinari is putting out word that he would like to be drafted by a franchise in the greater New York area, among a few other preferred teams. It was explained to me this way: If he isn't a top five pick and he winds up being drafted by, say, the Charlotte Bobcats, he may decide to remain the next year or two in Italy with his current club, Armani Jeans Milan. Mr. Giorgio Armani himself is prepared to make Gallinari feel very wanted with salary and other commercial opportunities, not to mention a club that hopes to move up in the Euroleague next year.

Might fly to Italy just to slap him around! I bet he is one of those man-whores like in Deuce Bigalow: European Gigalo.
