and why?
For me it has to be Brook Lopez. From the little that I've seen of him he seems like a younger, less talented Primoz... without the funny accent:p
If he is there at #9, I hope the Cats have the sanity to pass on him
Joe Alexander.
Last thing we need is another SF.

I'm voting Augustin unless we are trading Ray. He wont get much time and we can get a back up with our 2nd or by FA.
Slam, Alexander is a freak of nature physically-off the charts athlete. He is a good SF, but has the size to play PF and can grow into it a little more. He would not be a bad pick. I have seen a few mocks with him going Top 10. He is turning heads at his team workouts, too.
Alexander is pretty much the exact same size as Crash. He's a SF, not a PF.

Crash is 6-7 215 and Joe is 6-8 220. Right now, you're right that they are pretty close. But from what I have read, and I agree that this is only some people prognosticating, but there are many who say they expect Joe to put on about 10-15 more in muscle. He's only 21. If he is in the 6-8 to 6-9 range and around 235, he could play PF if he has the physical strength. The guy is strong and athletic, so I really dont think PF is out of the question. Or someone who can actually play both SF and PF to give you options for the lineups on the floor. That player would be valuable. But, I do understand your point and it is well taken.
The problem I would have with drafting him is that there are too many "if's" and "could's". I'd rather address our real area's of need than take a flyer on a kid like Alexander.

Brook Lopez.
1. No player in this lottery has less upside.
2. It moves Okafor to PF.
3. I feel like theres a chance we might draft him which is scary.

3. I feel like theres a chance we might draft him which is scary. The top 2 are my reasons I voted that way too. Number 3 is more terrifying than the prospect of drafting Jordan, and watching The Shining is more of a relaxant than thinking of us drafting Jordan. Yeesh......:-\

Voted for Brook Lopez I think we pass up on him simply because Brown seems to have a thing for athletic bigs.

i voted russell westbrook. i know he is a very good defender, but the last thing we need right now is a shooting guard. I am happy with Richardson/Carroll.

I certainly hope that holds true. We need Okafor to play the center and a scoring PF. We certainly don't need someone who is a center, 7' and only shot 46% last year in college ball.
