We need to get this guy on our summer leauge squad. This kid has all the character the bobs like and he could be a capable reserve shooter plus we have the Buz Peterson connection going.

I youtube'd him to get a better look since I wasn't very familiar with him.

I'd be willing to bring him into summer league and give him a shot to earn a roster spot. According to the mocks it looks like he will be undrafted.

Speaking of guys we need to bring in for Summer League I would love to see Dee Brown get another chance I never understood why he didn't work out in Utah as Deron's backup.

He is a great player, Sec player of the year his junior year, 3rd all time in ncaa 3pt shots made.
His last year his numbers droped a bit........after the season it came out he had been dealing with cancer.

Dee Brown's Blog (http://www.deebrown11.com/)
He's back in Chicago after a stint with a Yugoslav team. I couldn't find a free webpage with his stats, but reading thru some of his entries it looks like he made some all star team over there and had a pretty good season for the most part.
Everyone remember CJ Watson who was on our Summer League roster last year and who we should have brought into the roster, yet GSW snatched him up? He's on their SL team this year:

yea I remember that kid too wasn't he tearing up the DLeague last year along with another guy I wanted in the draft Morris Almond? I remember people on BCP/RealGM wanting us to sign him to a 10 day contract but GSW did instead. Dee Brown will make it into the league on some team he's to talented not too. Utah fans were saying how they didn't like him because he wasn't a true point but with Deron they weren't hurting for one. IMO Brown would be sick coming off the bench backing up Felton and spelling Swish if need be.

I think he could help a team to. If Daniel Gibson can get in the leauge, and Sasha V can play for the lakers Chris Lofton might have some success.

hmm..i don't know if we really need another guy who can "just shoot"...i've seen this guy and that's about all he does...not really known for defense either...he seems like a Matt Carroll clone to me...
IDK much about him though, i only really saw him play in the tournament and the game vs vanderbilt where he struggled to produce...oh yea plus the 3 pt shooting contest which he did fairly well in
I'd rather use my roster spots on a couple other big men though....but hey, if charlotte is interested, I hope he picks us

really when you look at it we already have six bigs on the roster
1. Oak
2. Nzar
3. Hollins
4. Davidson
5. AA
6. May
plus there is the posibility that Wallace could spend time at the 4
we really have three players for every position except we have 5 guys to play the 1/2
1 Felton, DJ
2 J-rich, Carroll
combo Weaver
Lofton would be a nice compliment to Weaver because Weaver could handle the ball and bring it up while lofton could provide a deep threat.
as far as shooters we have 2 great shooters (j-rich,carroll) and several guys that can shoot (morrison, felton, wallace, may)
In the NBA last year there were only 20 guys that shot over 40% from deep. Lofton would be a great backup in case Carroll ever gets hurt considering we could get him cheap and Carroll makes like 6 mil a year.
Also consider that Lofton has great work ethic, is a very high character guy and loves to play the game of basketball.

good points, but i'd rather grab a big that can give us a CONSISTENT offensive post presence before grabbing another pure shooter. if we can get that, then i'd be glad to get a good shooter like lofton...either way, lofton could probably fit in quite well with us now that i think about it...matt has some bad games at times, so lofton might fit well to spread the opponents defense so we can get some slashers in the paint
in conclusion, if we can get lofton for cheap, i say go for him

looks like denver got him for thier summer squad, that team needs a shooter so I guess maybe he has a better chance of getting signed but I don't see him fitting in with the denver thuglets

I don't know anything about the guy, so this has nothing really to do with his ability.
I really don't want another guard on the roster. If Morrison comes back, he's going to have play at the 2 or 3 as a shooter. With Felton, Augustine, Richardson, and Carroll already demanding minutes, I just don't think there's enough to go around when you throw in Weaver and Morrison. Meanwhile, Hollins, Davidson, and Ajinca are all projects until proven otherwise. If we add another player, I think it has to be a guy who can play the 4 or 5.
Of course, if we added a wing player who was an unquestionable talent, then yeah, I guess we could roll with the bigs we have. However, we really can't take on another guard who may or may not make any meaningful difference. Just my take, anyway.
