Thoughts on Lamar Odom? Or is he too expensive? The Lakers seem to want to get rid of him this offseason...thoughts on Odom to Charlotte, and how to get him? Or are you guys just not interested?

he was talked about a bit earlier. More of a SF then PF but he could play it. He is a great passer, but damn he cooled down in the finals. Crash for Odom was our original thoughts, but I'm not sure I would do that after his finals performance

Yeah, Odom got exposed pretty badly in the Finals. I wouldn't want to give up Crash or the #9 for Odom alone.

Pass. Odom just dissappears too often and is inconsistant.

No Odom, He only plays in the 1st quarter, after that, he disappears.

odom can only drive left...sad that a guy has been in the league this long and has never developed a right handed drive...when matched up with someone that can match his speed at the PF....he is done

Odom's not the only person that got "exposed" in the finals Celtics overall play on offense and D just made that entire Laker team look soft not just Odom but the all 3 core plays. They all where all far to inconsistent that including the the best player in the NBA right now and Gasol. For the most part though Odom has had a damn good season and I think he gets a bad wrap maybe playing for a smaller market Charlotte squad would be the best thing for him or maybe the frontcourt of Gasol and Odom are to soft because the games I watched earlier in the season he looked 10X better playing next to Bynum and I think he'd be the same type of player next to Mek just my two cents.

That's my thoughts too. I probably watch 45+ Lakers games a year. Sure Odom can be inconsistant at times but he didn't get exposed in the Finals. If you've ever watched him you know his weaknesses. If I were to take that outlook I guess I'd have to say that Kobe and Gasol were exposed too, right?

Reality is the Lakers team ran into a great defense. I doubt Wallace or Okafor would have faired any better if they'd have ran into that Boston team in that Finals environment. Remember how bad Wallace used to play against the two Wallace boys in Detroit? Good team defense can "expose" a lot of players.

I think have KG guard him was just an overmatched thing. I still wouldn't want him as a Bobcat.. Unless ofcoarse we got him for like 5 mil or so. I'd rather spend money on a big man than a SF.

That's interesting, and I think it makes a lot of sense.

Think about it. Bynum was the kid that went right at the Big Diesel very early on in his career. Gasol isn't the same kind of bumping guy. That put it on Lamar to take that role.
