Thursday night can wind up perfect with us drafting Westbrook, picking up an extra first rounder and drafting Hibbert and since I'm dreaming, lets throw in Joey Dorsey as our 2nd round draft pick.

Or it could turn into a nightmare... 2 words "Brook Lopez".:banghead:

It was a lot of fun last year even though I didn't get home 'til the end of the first round, but really, for us, that's when the fireworks started; namely, the JRich trade that went down in the 2nd round.

As of now, no commitments, so I hope to be chatting away Thursday, and hope to be too euphoric to type when RW is our pick at 9!!!!

Ach! I'll be flying to Milwaukee on Thursday to visit my ladyfriend's parents for the first time. I knew this was coming when I bought the ticket, but now it's just so much more a reality. Oh well, I'd just be biting my nails the whole time anyway. Also, her Dad's recording the draft for me so I can watch it when I get in.

I get the feeling the Bobcats will do well this draft. Ziggy, I suspect we won't be hearing those two words when our team's been on the clock. I get the feeling something crazy's gonna happen, but if not we'll get either Randolph or Westbrook and neither of those is a wasted selection going on what we know now.

Okay, all the 90's hip hop cliche out of the way.... my dad's birthday is Thursday, and my aunt and uncle want to take him out to eat at 6 or so, so I'll be late to the virtual draft chat party like last year. That was good karma last year, so hopefully that'll rub off this year...

i have no class when draft time starts (8am friday here), and since no channel will televise it here so i'll be on the chat. hopefully we'll get good stuff for us to cheer on =D

I have a feeling that there will be a lot of action in this draft. Boston and LA proved that making big trades involving picks and/or big players obviously works. Portland is loaded with picks but also a roster loaded with young talent so their needs are small. You know they will be moving the picks. I wonder if they combined all of them, what pick could they move up to? Top ten obviously. Top five probably not. Hmmm, considering the FO worked out a ton of second round talent, how about Portland giving us #13 and #27 and two second rounders for #9 and our second and we take Anjica and the BPA back-up point guard in the first and more young guys in the 2nd?

It all starts at the top with Chicago, who already has a top notch PG, selecting Rose so you know Hinrich will be moved. Miami selecting Mayo or trading down? Mayo and Bayless appear to be who they are eyeing but both are very raw to play PG early on. Is Wade on the move?

Hard to believe that when the lottery was held, all the talk was who gets rewarded with Beasley. Now the top two teams don't want him instead targeting positions they are already set at? Could be a wild night and as we know, trades on draft night have to be approved and that usually takes 15 to 45 minutes after they are made. Plus backroom deals are always being worked on as was the case with our pick. MJ pretty much knew Wright would go to Portland but it took an hour to get all the details worked out.
