after watching youtube highlights of beasley i think i have him pegged- he is a tad slower version of what glenn robinson was coming out of college...which is to say that beasley will probably have some very good seasons in the nba (20 ppg, 10 rbg) and probably multiple time allstar, but nothing like some people are saying like he will be a superstar or something...now after watching oj mayo highlights, i have to say, this is the guy who will be the superstar scorer of the draft (25+ ppg)
just my opinion...

With Felton, and Mayo in the back court, with JRich and Crash on the front line, and Okafor manning the middle- the Bobs have some serious firepower. Short and fast.
I read that his actual height was 6'3.25" without shoes. When Ray is out of the game, and Carroll is in, he could slide over to point. I like have 2 shooters on the court for the Bobcats, whenever possible. It seems like it opens up other options, and the Bobcats win more.
As to Mayo getting 25, I suppose partly that depends on where he goes, and if he's point, or scoring guard. Either way, I'd love to have him.
It's pretty hard to base an opinion on You Tube clips. They usually aren't subjective.
At least you got a chance to see highlights of them though.
What is it that you liked so much about Mayo and not so much about Beasley?

oh yeah i agree that youtube highlights are just that- highlights, but i just think mayo looks much more polished and has very nice range, along with great athleticism...beasley's highlights were mostly layups and dunks, many times a result of bad defense. i just don't think he's going to excel at creating his own shot like mayo will...

B-Easy is the best college freshman EVER. He will be better than Mayo and better sooner.

Yeah, if we could somehow deal with Minn and get #3, that seems more feasible. And I'd be very happy with either Mayo or Beasley. We can make it work. But getting to #3 is surely easier than #2. McHale would be easier to deal with than Riley.
