Has us picking Augustin at 9 but BAYLESS dropping to 12!!!!!

Also has us picking Koufos at 20 with Hibbert goin to the champs at 30.

If I can get Bayless at 9, I make no trades.

I like the Kosta Koufos pick. But not the DJ Augustine pick. If we wanted an undersized point, who was good at running the team, good FT and passer, we should have kept BK.

Guess I'd go with Bayless if it falls like that.

I love Bayless. I just dont understand all this talk of Hibbert as the Center so Okafor can play PF. He cant play the PF. Koufos has some range, so I'd rather draft Koufos with #20 and play him at the PF with Okafor at Center. But I dont know if Koufos will make it to #20.

What kills me about Augustine is that when you read his draft profiles and compare them to Felton's, they're virtually the same, with Augustine considered a better shooter and Felton a better ball handler. Both were considered somewhat short, extremely fast, and good playmakers, running their respective teams very effectively.

Interesting, the knock on Augustine is that he tended to look for his own shot too much in the first half of this past season, but became better about it as the season moved on.

Basically, I don't see picking a pg at 9 unless that guy is a versatile guard who can be a great scoring guard too. (think Bayless) I also wouldn't mind an athletic defender who can provide athleticism at both spots (think Westbrook). What I don't want is undersized pg who duplicates what we already have. I really hope we don't take Augustine unless it involves trading down and acquiring some other asset.

As for 20, I'd prefer a PF/C who can play both positions, but I'll be happy for a strong young C.

I agree completely. We need frontcourt versatility and a pg with combo possibilities. Augustin at 9 is not what the Dr. ordered. And I would DEFINITELY prefer Koufos to Hibbert. Heck, I would prefer him to Lopez when you are talking about a guy to pair with Okafor.

Augustin is a stud - but I don't know if I would take him at #9. If there is nothing more attractive there, I would take him though and run.

If he was around at 20, I wouldn't feel about taking him at all. But reaching on a pg that probably won't be any more effective than the one we already have at 9 just doesn't make sense, especially since he has been criticized for doing the very things that Felton is criticized for. Both were playmaker studs in college.

DJ has better point instincts than Felts does.

It just sucks that DJ is small.

I'm not saying that is or isn't the case. But, Felton was said to have pretty good instincts with the ball also. I just wonder what DJ would have looked like the last few years for the Bobcats. Would we be questioning his instincts?

If we'd put him at SG for most of that time because we "have to put the 5 best players on the court" he would have.

Remember, coming out of UNC Felts was considered a "pass first" point guard. I'm hoping Brown can bring that back, esp. since all those UNC coaches seem to do things the same way.

It's just no way we leave Bayless, Randolph , and the guy they got going at ten to take D.J . We automaticly become the laughing stock of the draft tonight it that comes down.
And Hibbert going at 30 what is this guy smoking. He has far less of a idea of this draft than Slam or any one else at Bobcatsplanet.

BTY the guy i left out is Danilo Gallinali
Could he play power foward , The guy is bigger than Randolph 6.9 , 221pounds
He has a lot better handles a lot better shot than most twos ahead of him in this years draft. Does any one know if he could play the four . He all so said he was playing for who ever drafted him.

From what I have seen, Felton with the Bobcats has shown less poise and less instincts than DJ with the Long Horns.

I know that Felts was said to be a lot of things coming out of UNC, but he was surrounded by good players there right? Williams, McMay, McCants - all 1st round NBA picks.

DJ had no one around him this year. Not one potential NBA star, yet he still looked awesome.
