I was just on bobcats.com watching the day11 workouts and noticed something interesting. If you go to the article about yesterdays workout they list the name of 5 no name players that were there. But if you look in the background on the video you can clearly see,Deandre Jordan,Roy Hibbert, and Donte Greene there.I'm starting to think there is something else going on.
Think about it.In the draft the best way to get the player you really want is to make everyone think you don't want them. And so far the bobcats have been leaking alot of stories about liking westbrook and wanting another pick for hibbert, and before that about how much they liked ajinca after his workout. But the best way to get your player is to to make other teams in front of you draft the players you don't want. The point is after the reports came out about us targeting westbrook everyone started jumping on his bandwagon, and alot of people have bayless sliding now.and after we we talked about how much we liked ajinca and hibbert, deandre jordan has started sliding. It just makes me think that maybe bayless and jordan are really the guys we are after.I mean, jordan has talked openly in the past about wanting a scoring point guard, and bayless definately fits that mold. And because of kwame brown and darko,if we really liked jordan the only was to get him would be to do it later in the first round ,because if we took him at 9,the media would kill micheal and larry.
And then there is the topic of donte greene being there yesterday.ESPN has said wallace is being shopped, but I haven't seen it anywhere else.maybe it is true and greene is a fallback plan. But think about this.people keep saying if we trade up with memphis that they would want us to take back brian cardinal's contract.Well okafor has a 12 million dollar cap hold until he signs,so that only leaves us about 5 million dollars.wallace would be the guy we would probably have to move to be able to take on that kind of a contract.
These are just my observations.I could be completely wrong.

I hear you. But, that workout with the bigs-- Hibbert, Jordan, Ajinca, and Koufos-- was pretty well covered by the media.

I definitely think you're right that there are plenty of smoke screens going up though.
