Buzzmaster: We've got Alexis up next!

Rob (Boston): How does it feel coming to the U.S.?

Alexis Ajinca: I feel very good. I think in the future, I can play in the NBA very well.

Zach (Mertzon): what attribute or experience has helped you get where you are in playing in the NBA coming out of France?

Alexis Ajinca: Maybe my defense and my blocked shots. I can run like KG.

Dan (The D): have you talked to Tony Parker about the transition to the US game?

Alexis Ajinca: I've never talked to Tony. DJ Mbenga plays for LA Lakers.

Mike (Michigan): Who will be the better NBA forward from France: You or Nicolas Batum?

Alexis Ajinca: Me.

Alexis Ajinca: Me for sure.

Daniel (NC): who are you going for in the EURO 2008 now that France is out?

Alexis Ajinca: I tihnk Germany. Maybe Spain is too tired.

George (Philly): Do you think Charlotte is a playoff team?

Alexis Ajinca: Yeah. For the future, yes.

Alexis Ajinca: Thanks for all the questions. Maybe I'll see you on the court!

Buzzmaster: Thanks Alexis!

Buzzmaster: That dude is EXCITED!

Buzzmaster: He kept tapping my shoulder saying ''NBA, man. NBA!''

tyler (detroit): good for him

Chris (L.A.): do you think he'll be as excited when he ends up in the NBDL?

Buzzmaster: Not with first round guaranteed contracts, baby.

Buzzmaster: I'm pulling for him. He was fun.

Charles (Cali): Aw come on, dont say that

D-League, that's all I have to say

The D.J. pick is growing on me a little bit but the second pick was a total waste because there is no chance this guy is on our roster come November.

I have to agree. If he's not on our roster, and it looks like he probably won't be....why did we trade to get that pick?? That doesn't make any sense. Take Arthur there who makes us immediately better. Who cares if he is a 4 or 5, we would flat out be a better team with him.

I say lets not judge the draft until we see what they can produce in a game:cool:.

I'm sick. We needed inside help, every body on the board is trading like crazy and we draft someone that can't play for us for 2 years. Not to mention the fact that we draft a PG that is not going ot settle for the minutes he gets behind Felton. Therefore we'll probably get rid of one or the other PG and seeing as we didn't get anybody to help us inside NOW, we'll have to trade for a Center. Which leaves us without a back up PG.

This is why I sold my gun.

10New Jersey (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/team?team=njn&draftyear=2008)Brook Lopez (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/player?playerId=19042&draftyear=2008)7-1258C (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/position?id=9&draftyear=2008)Stanford (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/school?id=24&draftyear=2008)The Nets are doing backflips. They had three guys they really liked in this draft: Kevin Love, Danilo Gallinari and Brook Lopez. They need size and a guy who can score in the low post. I thought Lopez would have been a reach at No. 3, but he's a very solid pick at No. 10. I think this is a very good day for the Nets.

12Sacramento (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/team?team=sac&draftyear=2008)Jason Thompson (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/player?playerId=19222&draftyear=2008)6-11250PF (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/position?id=6&draftyear=2008)Rider (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/school?id=2520&draftyear=2008)Wow! This is the biggest surprise of the draft. Though the Warriors liked him at No. 14, we had Thompson projected as a late first-round pick. He's solid, but that's it. There are much better players on the board here. Perhaps the Kings were shell-shocked after losing out on Bayless and Augustin, the two point guards they wanted.

14Golden State (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/team?team=gsw&draftyear=2008)Anthony Randolph (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/player?playerId=19157&draftyear=2008)6-10197PF (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/position?id=6&draftyear=2008)LSU (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/school?id=99&draftyear=2008)Interesting pick for the Warriors. At this point you go with the best talent available, and I think, as far as upside goes, that was Randolph. Here's the problem: They drafted the same kind of guy last year, Brandan Wright, another super-athletic freshman forward drafted on the basis of potential. What do they do now that they have both of them?

15Phoenix (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/team?team=pho&draftyear=2008) (from Atlanta)Robin Lopez (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/player?playerId=19045&draftyear=2008)7-0245C (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/position?id=9&draftyear=2008)Stanford (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/school?id=24&draftyear=2008)Solid pick for the Suns. It's clear Mike D'Antoni is no longer in Phoenix. Lopez brings energy and defense, but he's an offensive liability. Once Brandon Rush was off the board, Phoenix felt Lopez was best fit for its needs.

16Philadelphia (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/team?team=phi&draftyear=2008)Marreese Speights (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/player?playerId=19161&draftyear=2008)6-10245C (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/position?id=9&draftyear=2008)Florida (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/school?id=57&draftyear=2008)I like this pick for Philly. Speights has a lot of talent and he fits a need for Philly. He's an excellent offensive player who can score in the post and facing the basket, and he can rebound. He is kind of a poor man's Elton Brand.
17Toronto (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/team?team=tor&draftyear=2008) (Traded to Indiana)Roy Hibbert (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/player?playerId=18974&draftyear=2008)7-2275C (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/position?id=9&draftyear=2008)Georgetown (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/school?id=46&draftyear=2008)Toronto is making this pick for the Pacers. This is an interesting pick for Indiana. He does add a low post scorer and give the Pacers much-needed size. But his lack of athleticism and rebounding make me wonder if this was the best pick for Indiana. I think I would've grabbed Darrell Arthur here. He seems to be a better fit for Jim O'Brien's system.

5 (35)LA Clippers (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/team?team=lac&draftyear=2008)DeAndre Jordan (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/player?playerId=19136&draftyear=2008)6-11250C (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/position?id=9&draftyear=2008)Texas A&M (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/school?id=245&draftyear=2008)We knew DeAndre Jordan was sliding, but this is a little ridiculous. He's huge and athletic, and he played well when he got minutes at Texas A&M. NBA scouts would have ranked him as one of the top-five prospects in 2009. At No. 35, there is no risk and only upside for the Clippers. They have to be thrilled.

I would have done taken him with the 9th pick much less the 20th, even if he hardly plays this year, or next at least he plays!

18Washington (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/team?team=was&draftyear=2008)JaVale McGee (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/player?playerId=19227&draftyear=2008)7-0241C (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/position?id=9&draftyear=2008)Nevada (http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/school?id=2440&draftyear=2008)I'm not a huge fan of this pick, especially with a proven guy like Darrell Arthur on the board. McGee is a physical specimen, very long and athletic, and he has some skills. But he's very soft and looks like he's years away. He reminds me of Andray Blatche. I wouldn't have picked this guy if we had a 5th round! Those are just the big guys available the only other PG is bayless.

Why none of these guys were taken befor the french man who may never play a game in the NBA beats the hell out of me. Seatle doesn't need to worry about moving to Oklahoma city. The Bobcats will beat them to it if we don't find somebody that can run a team. MJ had better have one helluva trade up his sleeve or even my poor ass well be able to afford season tickets.

I am a tarheel fan for life, but I would have never thought that 4 (at least that many on the coaching and in administration.) Could f up a job concerning basketball so often.
