I just don't see how we can hang on to him. MJ may be the first "GM" to ever acknowledge he's shopping his team captain, and for TJ Ford no less... lol... I've always liked TJ Ford, but I like Crash a lot better. Crash should've been an all-star last year, and should've been all defensive team the last three. But for MJ to come out and confirm that he was trying to trade a guy that has given his heart and soul to our franchise and gave us a hometown discount in re-signing with us when he could've gone elsewhere for more money is absurd.
I believed in what Michael's potential as a front office/personnel guy, but this draft confirmed he sucks at it. I was happy with the Augustin pick, but everything else blew, and then to come out publicly and acknowledge he almost traded arguably our best player for a player of lesser value is ridiculous. Isn't the unspoken rule that front offices deny trade rumors, especially when the subjected player is still on the roster? WTF?
I just figure we've got to trade him now because he can't be happy coming back.
