It might be a good option for us while we wait for the French Brandon Wright to develop, how can we get him?

Wonder if they would have any use with hollins?

The only thing that worries me is that if skiles can't handle him, could brown?

Frye would be ideal because of his history with brown

I've said it before and I'll say it again, and maybe it's just me. But I'm really not that impressed by CV. He might be a good option off the bench, but I don't think he's that piece that our team is missing.

I'm not even sure I would give May up for him. A healthy May, in my opinion, is better than CV could ever be.

he's too much of a jump shooter rather than a post up guy...he does take it to the rim though...it's just he plays more like a small forward than a big guy

I've always been a Uconn fan. Charlie V always was supported by Okafor when they were in college, and really developed him. I think if he did come, it'd work as long as Okafor was on board with taking the mentor role for him.

this is an actual question, not rhetorical. why would we not hold onto may. we carried his fat ass and salary last year while he healed. when on the court he has shown he can be a 20-10 kinda guy at 4. his salary is still low and his trade value couldn't get any worse. why not see what he can do? even if we know we want to trade him, see where he is at midseason next year. if he shows improvement his value is up, if he doesn't he is an expiring contract. any thoughts?

I really wouldn't mind bringing in CV... but here's a thought.

Lets just pretend we live in perfect land. the land where:

Sean May returns healthy and serious about his game.
Davidson returns from the offseason, stronger, an the game has slowed down for him mentally.
Hollins shows signs of mental improvment to go with his abilities.
Ajinca comes in more ready than anyone predicted and contributes in year 1.
and Coach Brown employs a team system that works and flows like a real NBA coach can make happen.

If all that is to happen, then PF might not be such a downfall for us afterall. I mean we could theoretically be stout there even. On paper it could happen.

Ray / Dj
Jrich / Carroll / Weaver
Crash / Dude / Ammo
May / Davidson / Ajinca
Okafor / Nazr / Hollins

I mean on paper, factoring in what we think these guys are capable of.... thats a very strong, and VERY DEEP team. So I think we need to start looking at this as a best case scenario situation vs a worst case scenario. We know what the worst case scenario is... we've been living in it for 2 years now. If bringing in anyone in a trade doesn't make the best case scenario better... then i dont think we should make the move. IE... bringing in CV doesn't extend the best case scenario over May / Davidson / Ajinca playing to their full potential, so you dont bring him in. that make sense?

cause man... in best case scenario world... that team looks really good to me. Fast, young, skilled (more so in the back court) and did i mention young. room to improve. keep adding competition year after year and making this team better. hopefully thats the FO's plan.

that pretty much sums up my thoughts before i posted. i would not be as opposed to trading crash, felt, mek, may or morrison ie blowing up part of the nucleus at this year's trade deadline after seeing what they can do with lb at the helm. three of them are expiring or soon to be expiring and crash is top level talent. we should be able to get some good stuff if we think that is the better way to go.

The youtube video showes it all. With CV we have the opportunity to stretch the defense even futher. This would allow crash to slash and okafor to post while cv sets up about 15ft jumpers on one side and j rich for 3 on the other. Even if May is healthy bringing CV in wouldn't hurt because you can never have enough bigs. May might not be able to go on back to back nights and he would be great insurance. System basketball you need two teams, one to kick but and the other to take over where they left off. No let down in between and that is what we will have.

Felts / Augustine
J Rich / Carroll / Weaver
Wallace / Dudley / Ammo
CV / May / Davidson
Okafor / Nazr / Ajinca

Hollins, Harrington's expiring, and a second rd pick should get us CV. Maybe LB can light a fire underneathe our players feet and get them to perform like Bickerstaff did. We have the talent to make it in the east now. Wallace's d will make up for what CV lacks and we don't have to blow up the team chemistry what little we have.

If Milwaukee would take Harrington, Hollins, and a 2cd, for Charlie V, I'd do that in a heartbeat.

If he can be had without giving up too much, I'm all for it. CV has some skills thats for sure but he also has some Derrick Coleman in him.

While not the greatest option in the world, I like him because he can probably come cheap and he would put another person in the starting lineup that can shoot. I would actually try to hold on to May, see if Ajinca can live up to his considerable potential and then see what one of them can net you in a trade later on.

With Davis bolting GS for the Clippers, GS will be in dire need of a PG now. They may be willing to give up A LOT. Just an interesting developement happening.
