Very interesting roster. I guess Guillermo Diaz, Orien Greene or Mustafa Shakur will make the team as the 3rd PG.

I am really hoping Ajinca shines through at the SL. I would love to turn all that criticism we have recieved into the biggest steal of the draft. It will be an interesting week

Brandon Wallace actually started the season on the Celtic's roster last season until being waived in Dec. He played small forward for them, but he can block and board. If we didn't have a glut of tweeners, he might be a nice fit. As is, he'd really have to impress to make the roster.

Mays from Clemson might actually make the team. High engery good defender surprized he wasn't drafted. He abused Phyco Hansborough last year twice. Could be a nice glue guy pick up at the four.
14 D.J. Augustin G 6-0 180 11/10/87 Texas R
23 Guillermo Diaz G 6-2 185 3/4/85 Miami (FL) 1

I think we currently have 14 players under contract; so barring any trades or waivers...I'm guessing we need a PF more than a PG?
C Okafor/Mohammed/Hollins
PF May/Davidson/Ajinca
SF Wallace/Dudley/Morrison
SG Richardson/Carroll/Weaver
PG Felton/Augustin
I know positions aren't fixed in stone, but I've listed the roster based on each players primary spot.
These are the positions that I see each player filling...of course the Biscuit wouldn't agree, and LB probably won't either.
Okafor - C
Mohammed - C
Hollins - C/PF
May - PF
Davidson - PF
Ajinca - PF/C
Wallace - SF/PF
Dudley - SF/PF
Morrison - SF
Richardson - SG/SF
Carroll - SG
Weaver - SG/PG
Felton - PG
Augustin - PG
Until Sean May and Adam Morrison prove they can play, I see us weak on the front court still.
Anyway thats 14 :) assuming we sign all 3 rookies, plus our two RFA's Okafor and Hollins.

I completely agree with you. The times I've seen him play, I've been impressed. I definitely think he can make the roster.

there's a lot of potential there thats for sure. i remember diaz' name at miami and shakur was the top hs point guard when he went to arizona, iirc. for whatever reason, he has fallen off a little. the name i'm most happy about is jackie butler. as a long time knicks fan (sorry, they were around before either charlotte franchise) butler kinda got a raw deal in new york when eddy curry came in. he's 6'10" and has played center but could play the 4 as well. he's definetly a low post threat and is only 23....not to mention, he's already played under lb. it seems like a lot of quantity and as much as lb likes to shake lineups around, he's got his work cut out for him. i'm intrigued by orien greene and harvey as well. seems like several guys are trying to get their nba careers back on track.

Dude has the best name ever besides that Bobby Brown guy that was on last year summer league team. I can only imagine the jokes we would come up with for him if he was on our team now.

The founder of BET and Nelly own the team and we've got Shakur playing for it. So, when do we sign Biggy and Snoop? I heard The Game had some...game, let's try him out.

Yep, it's free on NBA.com's webcast. Day 1 yesterday saw many rookies performing well for their teams. O.J Mayo played well as the primary scorer for the Grizzlies, Anthony Randolph was on fire for the Warriors and Eric Gordon made quite an impression playing for the Clippers. I'm hoping for D.J, Alexis and Kyle to do well against the Clippers tonight.
According to the Summer League blog on bobcats.com, the player who has really made an impression is USC Greensboro's Kyle Hins. The consensus is that he didn't get drafted because he's a 6-6 power forward, which I suppose you can say is extremely undersized (Hornet's David West at 6-9 is considered relatively undersized). However, the Bobcats isn't an organisation that judges players on size (Boykins, Augustin), so let's see what he's got during the Summer League. Coach Brown certainly seems impressed with him work ethic and willingness to learn.

Since out SL game is in about 4 hours I was just wondering if anyone knows the starting line-up for today? I know DJ will be starting and most likely Dudley, but anyone know who else is?
