Yeah, he was professional, but you could tell he's not real happy with things. To me, it seemed like a minor slap at Bobcat mgmnt saying "everyone" is being shopped. But he did not go overboard and it seems to me that if we keep him, then if we have good chemistry on the floor, all will be OK.

I agree Ohara, Gerald is a professional and he knows it is all just business. In the business world things dont always go the way we want....

Doesn't surprise me at all... The article itself is not very informative, but as I said before, Crash is one of my favorite players in the league and I'd hate to see him go... But, at this point, the front office almost has to trade him because they were dumb enough to publicly acknowledge that they almost already did. Business or not, that's a low-blow classless move. He works hard and give everything he has out there, so I don't really know why Coach Brown wouldn't want him here (especially because of his defensive abilities), although this is the feeling that I'm picking up from the staff.
Also, I don't think it is a good sign that GW hasn't spoken with either Rod Higgins or Brown!?!? That's ridiculous! As a team captain and star player, wouldn't you want to at least give the guy a call and let him know the direction they are going? I feel as though there is a serious lack of respect for GW by the front office. I just hope they resolve it quickly because I'm tired of his name being dangled every other day in a trade rumor...
I checked in with Rick Bonnell about the GW draft day trade and he expressed to us that it didnt not pan out the way we think it did. Jordan nor anyone else in the organization came out and told the media that we are trading GW. Rick himself went to Jordan during a press conference regarding the draft an told Jordan that one of his sources told him about GW trade. Instead of lying about it, Jordan agreed with Rick an his source. Jordan just confirme it and did not openly express the idea.
I was a little taken back by how it seemed to play out, but feel a little better that as an organization we didnt actively tell the media about our lost trade.
