I think they'll wear things similar to the NASCAR night uniforms they had last year, minus the checkered flag sides. There's nothing saying they can't change the blue jerseys to say "Charlotte" instead of "Bobcats." I think those looked pretty nice and will be a little more traditional.

I love the Hawks uni's. They are simple, classy, strong and wearable away from the court.

I don't really like the Sixers uni's.


I don't like the Bobcats blue ones at all. I'd rather hang onto the organe ones. The blue ones look like Knick rips offs that are jail issue.

I love the combintation of black, white and gold. I just think that the Wizards don't quite use it right though.

pure speculation and wrong. Just the good ol blues for the road.

Orange is not a marketable or wearable color, but blue grey and a hint of orange are very marketable.

Frankly I really like the blue jerseys (first thing i think me and bigslam disagree about) and am hoping (speculation/suggestion to the bobcats) for an alternate grey with orange accents. That would be awesome.

I thot they were gonna use those midseason also. they said something bout making minor changes to the jerseys and also about going predominantly blue instead of orange a while ago. i just never saw it happening. i've been waiting for the jersey change so that i can buy the new ones

Our jerseys would have been so sick if they were black and orange with little bit of white for the Charlotte Bobcats letters.

New school pistons jerseys are the best in the league right now with the ATL road jerseys in close second.

Yep I agree, Id just love a good team that can make the playoffs. The fashion part of it that seems to have started in the 90's I can live without, I like the blacks I like the blues and maybe a gray uniform....:cool:

haha.... hell no. the nba died in 1991 when fat tore his acl. it was all downhill after that. i'm stuck in a basketball time warp. i'm just waiting for scott bacula to show up so we can go all quantum leap, beat bernie bickerstaff's ass before he has a chance to trade fat to the mavs, then i'll kidnap jordan so he cant ruin basketball. the blazers, with, clyde, porter, buck, kersey and duckworth go on to win a few titles and the world is a better place, because we dont have to live through pat riley trying the maul mj for next 7 years, slowing down the game to a crawl and causing every gm in america to copy riley by drafting "defensive wings" who cant shoot or dribble. or maybe i'll just kidnap riley as well.

6. hawks mid 2000's with the large bird on the frontI agree with most of your "bests" especially 2-4; I never cared for the rainbow Nuggets jersey, nor the Bucks jersey of that era: I loved the old school Alcindor, Robertson, Dandridge era jersey with the green, white and red, which is what the Bucks are trying to retrofit currently, but it isn't really working.

Also, I agree with all your "worsts" except for the heresy of number 5, which is an absolute beauty!!! It's a rip-off of the old San Diego Clippers colors, whose jersey looks better than the Kings of the 80's, but still, one of my favs!

The Nets of the late 80's were horrific too, with the "Nets" spelled vertically and white and red blocks off to the side, and even an outline of the state of NJ in a circle on the front of the shorts if memory serves. Pretty hideous.

I'll probably get crucified for this, but I loved the orange Cavs jersey from like 87, I think it was....Ron Harper's rookie year. I think that's a jersey you either love or hate.

Also, I always hated the purple Hornets jersey from the mid 90s.

Really like the original T-Wolves jersey that lasted til 97 season, though the logo was kinda weak.

For sentimental reasons, I love the Hawks jersey from the mid-late 80's til '93 season. I can't be objective enough to say whether or not it was a good uniform, but my childhood nostaliga informs me it was, so there ya go...

beagle, i can tell you are an old school hoops lover.

you know... i really do have a fond place in my heart for those old kings jerseys. seeing kenny smith in light blue just seems right. but they were so odd.

the old bucks logo was so fruity yet fabulous, the little deer playing with the ball. i really liked the green patches on the side that went from light to dark.

those nets jerseys you mentioned always looked like cheap high school jerseys, even back then, which is saying something.

in general, i just prefer logos and jerseys to be simple, basic and classy..... except for the nuggets rainbow. you ever love it or hate... i guess like the old early 80's brown padrees unis. there is no in-between.

I'm still enjoying that one, and wondering to myself what my animal is and would I wear it? I'm thinking an old grizzly bear or maybe a beached whale.

As for the Bobcats gee I don't know maybe a real bobcat paste-on would be fine!...or maybe paste-on a cartoon bobcat like Rufus' face on the shirt.

Actually though, this has made me think that teams should just stop using wild animals for their brands. Leave that to the high school kids. Professionals are waaayyyy beyond that. So the Knicks and Heat and Magic are all cool. Even the Jazzez; well for New Orleans anyway or Kansas City. The Bobcats are probably the worst of the animal class. That's why I think they should have been named "Bob's Cats", much more better! and without the animal thing...thinking of Cats as hip and cool, not feral.

Up here in Winston-Salem our local minor league baseball team is taking a poll to change the team name. The team owner is the guy who owns Primo Water; so I've suggested the PrimoDonna's, or just Donna's for short. I think its got legs....

The possibilities are endless.

Didn't we have those warmups already with the same font except with "CHARLOTTE" on the front in white font? Or maybe my memory is wrong and that was just the white "CHARLOTTE" in the old font....

either way, that text on that warmup is the same as the ones on our race jerseys i think and also the same as the C on all of the store apparel except for on-court apparel...i've been waiting for the new uniforms that we were supposed to get when they said they were going to tweak our jersey design a little bit.
