Give him a real coach and steady minutes rather then the denver rollercoaster hes been on and he will be extremely productive. Jrich on one wing and JR on the other... hot damn.

think about this and im rambling here, but

Sign JR to Full MLE. Pull him from denver who needs to be frugal now. Trade Gerald Wallace+Ammo to Atlanta for Josh Smith+Speedy. Josh Smith Starting salary at $12

It works, essentially we send out 13 and take in 11.7 (BYC 6 smith 5.7 speedy) which works with the 125%

Buyout Claxton, waste of a roster spot.

Starters of

Felton
JR
JSwish
JSmith
EOak

key reserves: DJ, Duds, May?, Nazr

Bench Riders: Jermareo (maybe?) Hollins, Ajinca, Weaver

Ignore the obnoxiously similar names and think about how athletic this squad would be.

Also once DJ is ready to take over and give this team a real PG, we would be, simply, disgusting.

It would be "interesting" to see how JR Smith would relate (see: survive) Larry Brown.

There are guys who can play for Larry Brown and then there's guys that probably can't. Both Smitty's ... J.R. and Josh ... are definitely "can'ts".

Josh Smith has a higher value than Gerald Wallace. Atlanta would never do that deal.

Not to hate on your post But why would we pick up JR Smith from Denver? Not that he isn't a good player but we have 5 guards already who all fill a need.
Josh Smith at PF, maybe, but he isn't really a huslte type player. He makes big plays cuz he's very athletic and the Hawks on ball defense is weak. Gerald Wallace offers way more to the Bobcats then Josh Smith. Wallace is a SF not a PF so if you trade him who's your starting SF?

and you would have expected allen iverson to be a definitley can? Please. You cannot decide who will and wont clash with a coach you dont know either person. you can guess, but i dont agree.

and think of the wing combo of JR and Jrich. I think that would be deadly.

AI was special...an all star that was drafted by the Sixers. I imagine LB would have a lot more patience with a star vs. borderline starters.

Would be nice to have a player at the 2 guard spot (no not Felts) that has a yo yo handle with the rock. I thought we could have got him for cheap when the Hornets had him on the block.

I'm interested to know why Keetch thinks Josh Smith and JR wouldn't be able to play for Brown. I'm guessing maturity (both) and lack of effort on D for JR If it's that I don't think his lack of D intensity would be anymore of an issue than it WILL be for Ammo and Carroll.

J-rich at SF and JR Smith/Matt at SG.

another thing yall seem to forget. hustle is about motivation. coaching=motivation

mike woodson? he has zero control over his players. when i did watch the hawks play, they just looked like a bunch of kids without any discipline but a lot of athleticism. thats their coaches fault, and it would be up to ours to change that. if anyone can, its lb

I like JR Smith as a player, but I don't really see a need for another guard unless it's a vet point guard.

I think its common knowledge that both players seem to have maturity issues and are not easily coachable. I don't dislike either player; actually I think they're both very fun to watch, especially Josh Smith!

Your right though Matt, its probably inaccurate and unfair to LB to say that any player "can't" play for him. I can see that. But JR has succeeded nowhere in the many places he has played in the NBA and Josh has been known to play selfishly. Correctable? Probably yeah. Josh Smith is a stud no doubt, but he's also the only guy I've ever watched at the Arena that was so selfish that I was laughing out loud at him. "Give it to Smoove!" "There he goes!" Maybe its not that LB can't coach them, maybe it's that I'd rather he didn't have to try. Too much mental work on one or two guys consumes quality time for the others. So no thanks. Let the Mike Woodson's of the NBA have those little joys.

Who was it that got kicked out of the game and on the way to the locker room threw up a bird to the home crowd? This was season before last? Joe Johnson or Josh Smith?

Smith was the one kicked out...we were at the game...Joe is a class guy...Smith..well he is very young/immature which will always hurt a team he plays for...too bad because he is an excellent athlete...

very fair response. ill settle with just JR though. I love his game and really dont think hes a bad egg. he is trying. He was much to young to come into the nba mentally. if you read denver newspapers they commented several times about how well he was doing in practice and stuff last season. he got put on the jr. national team. I see so much potential.

J-rich is not a SF, He would have to guard people like Lebron,Al Thornton, Melo, Ron Artest just to name a few. Now who's better suited for that Job...J-rich or Crash? Richarson is a shooter/slasher, thats what good SG's do. I think we got in enough trouble last year playing people out of postion. JR Smith doesn't fit a need. He's a Good 3pt shooter/Dunker. Defense, OK. Teamwork and work effort not really good. As a player i like him just not on my team thankfully. J-Rich already does everything Smith does and better

J-rich started 41 games @ SF last year. We played well when it was Matt and J-rich. J-rich can play both positions.

i'd do that trade, but i dont think there would be enough ball for JR, JRich, and JSmoov

those guys want to dunk and want to dunk often...

i'd buy season tickets for sure though if we had those 3
