This can only mean bad things for the NBA if a lot of players start considering this.

Well, LeBron does want to be a billionaire. $50 mill's not a bad place to start. I'd think though that he'd have to be on a "bigger market" Euro team. Probably Rome or Madrid, or CSKA Moscow. I'd think the team would also need to be competitive in the Euroleague. If he goes to Europe he'd have to be winning the league year after year. Really, I don't think he'd go because it'd have to be the ultimate fit of competitiveness, money and public face-time.

Chris Broussard is reporting this now. Like I said on the Boykins thread, this Euro League stuff is freakin serious.

I wonder what David Stern would do/say in a press conference if LeBron left the NBA...
I bet it would sound a little something like this

I don't know about that, but I wouldn't be surprised if the NBA gave him money in addition to his contract to stay in the NBA.
You can't have the greatest league in the world and not have the greatest player. What a marketing nightmare.
On the other hand, such a signing could expedite NBA Europe.

Nah they would still have the greatest...http://i37.tinypic.com/fc7ack.gif but yea some say he wont go because of the loss of endorsements but I think he'd get those wherever he plays. Will be interesting to see where he ends up don't forget he really wants to play in the Tri State area when his current deal is up.

Will that still be true as Lebron enters his prime and Kobe starts on the tail end of his prime?
I guess we both forgot about Paul Pierce too. ;)

Bron will be the greatest when Bean Bryant retires not a huge fan of The Truth I'd put Wade and CP3 over him :)

It is bad that Europe teams have no salary and can offer ridiculous amounts of money to our NBA players, but LeBron won't go. Yeah he may consider it, but he wouldn't have much competition and the crowds in America are bigger than over there (i think).
I hope he s loyal to the league and country and i hope he doesn't follow the money. He is rich enough as it is.
