Well, there's 18 of 30 games on the road after the all-star break. April aside, though, it doesn't seem all that bad. At least not compared to last year.
Will the two Thursday games (10/30 vs. Clev, and 12/11 vs Dal) be on TNT? That'd be cool if we could play well on the road against those two teams in front of a wider audience.

Cuz they didn't give us ANY nationally televised games. I think they did the same year before last.

We were on TNT like the 2006 season and ESPN last year

they can always change that though if we start off the year strong.
btw...anyone else feel that january actually looks pretty tough also?
mostly tougher away games and the only home games i'm more confident in winning are milwaukee and memphis....hopefullly we've improved a lot since last year or else that's gonna be a pain to watch for that month.

The TNT doubleheader on October 30 is Houston-Dallas and New Orleans-Phoenix. The December 11 doubleheader is Boston-Washington and Portland-Utah.
We might get a live look-in on the 30th during the Houston game.
The other thing to keep in mind is that the national TV schedule changes dramatically once the season gets started and we see which teams are better than anticipated - and which are worse. Miami was scheduled for at least 15 national TV games last season, and the Bulls had roughly 8, and by the second week in January the networks started substituting out their games to pick up the Hornets and Blazers.
If we get off to a good start, and a couple of teams that are expected to contend struggle with injuries or chemistry or whatever, then we might get thrown into the mix as the season progresses.

This is true. To get on TV, we just have to start winning and making noice in the Eastern Conference. Winning gets you on TV, so LB and the guys have to do it.

Seems like we start and end off the season with a tough stretch of games hopefully we'll start off stronger than previous years. Also nice to see another Panthers/Bobcats doubleheader on November 16th I'm going to have to make it out to Charlotte to attend both games

If we're battling for a playoff spot at the tail end of the season, finishing up with 4 straight road games is going to make it challenging.
@ OKC
@ Chicago
@ NJ
@ Orlando
last game of the season at home will be against Philly again...

Man all those home games close together in November sound exhausting....for me, not for the players. Wouldn't mind if I didn't have to drive so freaking far.....

Damn straight...it's like last year all over again. Why kill us ST holders all over again? Stretch the games out so we aren't hammered with holiday traffic during late November and all of December. 85 through Concord Mills exit is a bitch and a half that time of year>:( . Oh, and isn't it cute how they put the Celtics game on Thanksgiving weekend again? Gimme a frikkin' break, NBA. Your schedule-makers suck big and often...

Here's a thought for season ticket holders, By the way thank you for giving money to the poor Bobcats.
If the Bobcats start winning more you know the prices per game or for just certain games will go up. Just like the Panthers did. Right now ticket packages are pretty low compared to other teams. Here's my question.....
With the price of life in general, Would the Bobcats new fame and price hikes make you less likely to drive all those miles to see them???
Charlotte is like 3 hrs away for me and this year will be my first year hoping getting to see a real game.

Yes, Yes and Yes. Right now there is no way I can sell any of my Bobcats tickets for anywhere near what I have to pay for them. Until the demand is high enough that that changes, I'd hate to see a price increase.
The Bobcats tickets may be moderate compared to other NBA teams, but seriously lower bowl seats cost a phenomenal amount of money in my opinion. To agree to spend that you need to be either 1) independantly wealthy, 2) own a business (marketing) and/or 3) an NBA addict. I qualify under 2 and 3, but unfortunately not 1. I give a lot of tickets to clients. I like to think that the tickets have paid for themselves, through good will and the new work that brings, but I fear the NBA addict part of me may be delusional. None of my clients have said "Thanks for the tickets; here's a 1/4 million contract", but I do think it helps :)
Agreed that the cost of life in general makes the Bobcats much less affordable for sure, especially when it costs me almost 30 bucks just to drive there and back. At least they cover Parking. I very much appreciated that. That's five or 10 bucks saved on my ticket.
We try to eat and drink less too, at the Arena. That adds up big time.

It would have been nicer to have more home games during the winter time instead of November...

I'm with you on that. November is like the first three months of last season. I'm a die-hard fan, so I make it to all the games, but that did get a little tiring last year. At least it evens out after that and it's about twice a week.

I've never really paid attention to the mileage (whatever Keetch's is, it's a little less than that, since I live in Davidson County, not Forsyth), but on a good, relatively smooth-sailing traffic, I can get parked in a little over 70 minutes from leaving the house. For me, that's not all that bad, really.
As far as the "price of life" is concerned, that won't hinder me from going to any games: I look at my STs and the trek to see the Cats play in general as a "you only live once" kinda splurge: I enjoy it (will like it even better if loud-mouth PA dude continues his trend towards the end of the season of not chanting "Lets go Cats! Let's go Cats" at an interminable clip.....plus, NO Vincent!!!!), I can afford it, I could not do it and put the money to better use probably, but screw it, I don't anticipate living 40 more years (at best), so I'm going to treat myself.
If the Cats suddenly got popular in the area, and sell-outs, or near sell-outs became regular, that wouldn't hinder me either; hell, it would probably entice me to come to a few more games.
Depending on how high the price hikes went, and if I felt they weren't warranted, I just wouldn't renew them.
What will keep me from going to all the games are Sunday games (2), and the every other day games that are coming throughout November; only if I lived in Charlotte could/would I do that. I mean, come on, this isn't baseball with a 10 game homestand in 10 days. It's not the price of traveling, it's just the traveling (and work and personal responsibilities) that is going to keep me home during some home games. There should be no more than 3 home games a week; anything more than that is just ridiculous.

Man, if I would love to be able to buy STs, but driving from Raleigh sucks. I've done some Wednesday night drives before, and I actually enjoyed the drives home. If it weren't for gas prices and the fact that I get paid in pennies, I'd buy a lot more tickets. I'm a little worried that by the time I can afford tickets and live close enough to use them that the prices will be out of range again.
Oh well, at least we got FSN now.

I'm more able to go to games during the winter, I am usually real busy in Nov and Dec and really don't have very much free time and what little I do get is directed towards being with my lady. I live about an hour or so from Charlotte and work 12 hour shifts. It all lets up in January giving me more free time....:hypo:

Yep I remember when the 07-08 schedule was released we had that one national game confirmed already.
Memphis will probably have a couple of ESPN/TNT games this year too because of Mayo.

Last year we had a game against Utah that was supposed to be televised on ESPN. That would have been on a Wednesday. On that Friday, we had a game against Orlando which originally wasn't supposed to be on ESPN. Then ESPN decided to do the gameday thing and switch the game that they were going to televise.

Oh ok so maybe we'll get another one or two added this year against the Magic (Mek vs Superman) and the Knicks (Larry's former team and we always seem to have very competitive games against them) I also thought they would put us on national TV when we played the Warriors during JSwish "homecoming".

I seem to live the farthest away and whats sad is depending on how cheap i want to be, The gas there and back will cost more then the ticket. The last game of the season is on my birthday (ORL) , I would have loved to go to that game but it's away. Even driving to orlando is only like a 10-15 hrs ride. I think it's 300 miles. Correct me if I'm wrong. When i was in high school around bout ten yrs ago $20 filled my tank past the F . Now..........>:(
