My personal opinion will be Ammo.

If healthy (and I think he will be) he is just too smart of a player and too good of a scorer to not have LB give him minutes. I'll give Ammo 15 PPG in about 25 minutes.

Sorry to ask, but who is Ammo? Is it Adam Morrison?

Who will be the biggest suprise in 2008-2009? Is that what the question is?

^Morrison and Welcome to BCP BTW :)

If were just talking about the Bobcats my money is on Felts I could see him averaging something around 18ppg and 10 apg. Around the league I see a few guys breaking out Rodney Stuckey, Thad Young, Al Thorton, and Nick Young.

Given the strides that he was making at the end of last season when he took over the point (he had some great, high assist, high point games) and given the tutelage of LB and the pressure he might get from DJ, as long as he is around, I could see Felton surprising on the upside and averaging significantly more assists and possibly fewer turnovers, as well as improving his FG% as LB will tolerate fewer bad shot selections and he will hopefully have to take less shots as the shot clock is winding down.

Also, as long as he turns out to be coachable in LB's system, I think Davidson has the potential to work himself up to a very productive member of the team given his length and athleticism and the thinness (I guess except for May) of the PF position as it stands now.

I agree with Ammo, I think he can build on the few bursts of greatness he had his rookie year.

I would also love to see Hollins average 2 dunks a game though. I see him being able to help us on offense if we use him like a tyson chandler.

Jared Dudley will be our 6th man no later than the halfway point of the season. Smart, tough, plays balls out all the time, the coach will really like him. He'll take minutes away from Ammo and Carroll because he's much better defensively.

He'll be a 10/6 guy for us this season.

I'm going to swing for the fences with my surprise and say Sean May will go 65+ games and finish with a 9/6 average at the end of the year.

LB will change him IMHO.

I would love to see him play in that many games, time will tell and I hope he can do it....

if may plays that many games he can average much more than 9/6. he was easily gettin like 11.5 and 6.5 off the bench in 20-30 games of each season he played. he's definitely got skill...but no work ethic

I'm going to go with May too, the surgery he had is a pretty big surgery so not many people will be believing he'll do too much, but I think Larry Brown and company will get him in shape and I could see a 12/8 season for him with 65-70 games, which I think would be great for him...

Davidson gets my vote.

That boy badly needs a (short!) nickname.

I thought it was Super Jamareo or something like that.

I bet I know your answer to the half-full, half-empty question:biggrin:

As for the surprise, I can't help but see Ammo doing something productive this year. He's showed flashes of some skill but I just wanna see him show up day in and day out to play. I'll say with LB's guidance.. we get 12.5 ppg out of him

Biggest Surprise --> Adam Morrison.

I'm hoping that he regains some of the swagger that he had at Gonzaga and flourishes in an instant offense off of the bench type or role.

Adam Morrison is a good player, I think he has a better chance then Sean May does of making a productive come back. You could tell by looking at the two on the bench. Morrison, Even though he wasn't walking with a limp, Had a mean mug. You could tell he really wanted to play. Sean May looked way to happy on some nights to be sitting there in his suit still earning a pay check. I can't fault him for getting hurt, But i remember him having trouble with that knee at UNC. They might have even brought it up during the Draft. Bert Reynolds Hippie love Child aka Morrison is going to be vitale as our guards get into the lane either on fast breaks or set plays. Morrison said he felt like he HAD to shoot everytime he got the ball. He's had a year t watch now I think he'll contend for 6th man.
