I swear it looks like Williams and Stewart are trying to top each other
We're up 34 -0 at the half

I heard Jason Taylor has a torn ACL and will be out for the rest of the season.
This game just confirms how much Smitty means to our squad him just being on the field teams can't focus on our running backs like Philly did last week. Dwayne Jarrett also is looking like he wants that starting job over DJ Hackett who is still hurt made some big catches and has blocked well for the backs tonight.
Perfect showing up 44 to 3 in the 4th.

HA! I heard the same thing playing in my head when I saw DWill's TD! I even started singing. Damn, we looked solid tonight. I really hoped that we would drop 50 on them.

I think we would have got 50 points if Jake had thrown the ball better in the 1st quarter but no harm still put on a hell of a show tonight. As far as DWill and Stewart I'm loving the friendly competition between both guys that is exactly what I want to see from Augustin and Felts this season it can only bring positive results as tonight showed.

I was there....... and WOW did we put a whoopin' on them. I swear it felt like Stewart and DWill went back to back with those long ass runs. The place erupted after the second one and we were up 30 something.
I felt like I should mention this: Jonathan Stewart is a HUGE!!!!!! dude. WOW! I was looking at the replay on the big screen and my mouth just dropped when I saw how big he is. Just about as wide as he is tall haha
Del-Homie also looked pretty sharp there for a while. Smitty and Hackett played well. So did the other receiver but I can't remember his name.
If we get this kind of production from our running game then we're definitely going to be a force in the NFC

U sure Taylor tore his ACL??
That was a great first half. The running gmae looks great, I wasn't sure how Deanglo would do, but I've certainly changed my mind. Jarrett looks great also, plus it's about time Jake threw the ball to someone other then Steve Smith. It was good to see Ken Lucas getting some game action too. I still haven't seen Godfrey , I think his #30 but no big plays yet. We still need a kick le off or punt return man but so far this team as a whole looks great.

When we drafted DJ it reminded me of the Panthers drafting Stewart. Hope both teams can prosper with double headed attack.

^Nice avi Superb1 another Boondocks fan :)
To CarolinaKat I'm not sure about the ACL thing being true or not I was going off what a Washington Redskins fan posted over at Panthers Huddle. I guess he jumped the gun because after watching the highlights on ESPN they're reporting it was a knee sprain (which they always do before MRI's) I think he'll be ok he walked off the field without much problems.
If Stewart can stay healthy I could see him being offensive rookie of the year he just has a great mix of power and speed..

The 2nd string even played well last night (thank god) we're gonna need those guys sooner or later the way guys get hurt in football, but that was the most enjoyable game of Panther football I think I've ever watched. It reminded me of back when the Cowboys used to wipe the field up with the old St Louis Cardinals back in the 70's......Keep up the great work guys, we're gonna be a good playoff team this season as long as no one major goes down. I only hope Matt Moore can complete more passes if Jake goes down again.

I went too. It was fun to watch. I just kept thinking, this is pre-season, the Redskins have a first year coach who has never been even a cordinator. Were the Skins that bad? 2 50+ yard TD runs are awesome. Both running backs are going to be good this year. Jake was forcing the ball to Steve big time but I think once he gets feeling better about Jarrett, Moose(that's just natural for Jake, provided Moose is healthy), Rosario is going to make some plays, I think DJ Hackett is a lost cause. If he can't get into practice, no preseason activity, Jake is not going to feel good about looking to him. Jarrett was the biggest and happiest suprise. He is a BIG target and he can get open. I just hope he's grown up, knows the plays and can put the drink down when he's thinking about driving.
Side note: If you're going to go to a football game, by all means have a good time, but seriously shut up. You may have just graduated college and Daddy got you a great job but I don't want to hear about it. You're sitting so close to other people I mean if you stretch out your arms you will hit 6 people, talking loud about how much you hate Charlotte and can't wait to get back to where ever you work is just not cool. We get it, the Panthers' fans are not the best, yes we are known as the wine and cheese crowd but you got free tickets and chose to come so enjoy it. Dwane Jarrett is not the best athlete on the team and he should not hate them for not playing him last year. Also, we know it's pre-season and no one really cares but don't move down to other people's seats, then get pissed when the actual ticket holders show up and tell you to move. I loved the game but 3 dudes, one of which litterally didn't stop talking, ruined most of it for me and most of the people in our section. Straw hats at night, not cool. Shouting how 'this sucks" and you want to go to a strip club, not cool. Rant complete.

I'm late to the panthers love in (vacation), but I am VERY psyched about our running game and the holes provided by the OL. I think we are looking really good with Peppers looking like Peppers again, and our running game. I just have to tell myself that it's only preseason, but with the first teamers playing all of the first half and the score 34-0 at halftime I feel pretty optimistic. I think it is a 2 horse race for the NFC south crown between us and NO (i don't like tampa to win again this year).
