Gerald Wallace is #47 on his list:

I wonder if Emeka or J-Rich will get any love.

Did the head injuries send Wallace backtracking? Or was it Sam Vincent (http://nba.fanhouse.com/tag/SamVincent/)'s woeful offensive system, which happened to be in place as both Wallace and Emeka Okafor (http://nba.fanhouse.com/tag/EmekaOkafor/) had their worst seasons?

Wallace got knocked out by Mikki Moore's elbow in February. By January he was already launching more threes than ever. It's not the head which pushed Crash out of the paint -- it was the Charlotte offense, organized by the deposed Vincent.

This guy definitely gets it.

With Larry Brown (http://nba.fanhouse.com/tag/LarryBrown/) on the bench, will Wallace now regain his rightful throne at the rim? Doubtful; if I thought so, Wallace would appear much higher on this list. If you listened to what Crash said after the latest concussion, and saw how he played in March, you'll agree he's a more tentative, less bombastic player. His lack of slow-mo, his shrieking banshee attitude of play ... those things made him a great player. Without them, he'll still be quite good and exciting as heck, a real unique weapon. But the luster has dulled -- it has to, if Wallace wants to keep playing.

Here's where I hope he's dead wrong. If it was the offense like he said above then I don't see why Crash won't re-adjust his game under LB. He just has to use some smarts.

Tom is very, very good.
If you want to read more of his work, he is the guy that created and runs Sactown Royalty. The biggest Sacramento Kings blog out there.

as I have stated Wallace needs some specially designed lightweight but slightly padded and cushy headgear. That we he can continue to play with complete reckless abandon, well maybe a special flack jacket or somthing to protect the body as well.... oh... and some elbow pads anything to get the old Gerald Wallace back.

He just ought to work out a deal with the panthers to use a football uniform while he plays. It has pads all over it. Hip pads protect against hip pointers, knee pads the knees of course, butt pads the butt, use qb throwing shoulder pads he could pass the ball and shoot with them, and a big ole hard helmet to protect against the head injuries. He can also tape up his fingers like defensive linemen do. That would look like hell but at least he would be safe.

Of course Im kidding but I feel Crash will be Crash no matter what....

Maybe a Larry Brown common sense system will have Crash playing a more stable defense. Think of Lebron in the olyimpics roving the paint, getting blocks on help defense. Wallace gets hurt trying to hard to make a big play. Maybe the team is behind and now to save a position he haves to drive into the crowd for a ball. Or trying to drive to the basket against five other players cuz no one on your teams seems to be able to score a point. In the process you get beat up and knock around. He worked on his jumper but it's still not really a big threat. Wallace lives at the rim, He can't stop playing that way. He really doesn't have any better weapons.
